King Eliagh is right. As I remember the hooliganism in soccer crowds scare women away. It's worse in those crowds than in any other sport to the point that in some countries like England it's so far out of control it's a wonder the clubs don't do anything substantive about it. By comparison I think the AFL and NRL crowds behave quite well.

Every time someone references the NRL women beaters I will say "Stephen Milne" and leave it at that.
You don't know what you're talking about :roll: . England had major issues with hooliganism in the 80s and 90s but it's largely been stamped out by better policing and impacted by other factors such as high ticket prices and the membership culture in the EPL. There's places on the continent where it's still a big issue, particularly in Eastern Europe.
Really? Then explain these;

http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-tyne-22143572

Largely stamped out? I don't think so.
You referred to English hooliganism as being 'out of control' which is absolute bullshit. There might be the odd isolated incident here and there but it's hardly an issue for 99.9% of attending EPL fans these days.

The style of football support is a lot more passionate and colourful then you get in any other sport, and seeing it can be so embedded in the tribalism and historical social fabric of many of these areas, it's perhaps an unwanted inevitability when it boils over occasionally. Still, given the sheer number of teams and competitions of the world's number 1 game, it's hardly an issue for a majority of fans who don't look for trouble and come to witness the beautiful game. :thumbleft:

As for female supporters, well we know they like the AFL but wouldn't touch NRL with a ten foot pole (not the decent ones anyway). At the end of the day the A league doesn't need a 'women in league round' because our players don't go around thumping and abusing the fairer sex with such regularity. Intelligent women also want substance and skill in sports, not the grinding physicality which keeps the male rednecks with low IQs forever entertained [-X

Isolated incident? Did you see just how big those two incidents were? It's still "out of control" in my opinion. "Isolated" has nothing to do with it. An incident is an incident. The hooligans are still there and still causing a mountain of trouble.

No dickhead, you've referred to 2 isolated incidents from early last year which hardly qualify for it being 'out of control'. Either you show some evidence that hooliganism is out of control in England or you shut the fuck up; knowing that you can't prove the former I suggest you do the latter.

That's the evidence. If you can't see the problem then that's up to you. If it wasn't out of control neither of those incidents would have got to the point they did.

Yeah keep telling yourself that tooldouche, out of the hundreds of games in England every year 2 minor incidents, not even from this year, mean it's a problem which isn't controlled. I don't suffer fools lightly; at least with the others here (myself included), there's an element of sarcastic trolling.

By your logic tooldouche the violent cheap shots and illicit drug use are way out of control in the AFL. Why is no one doing anything about these problems if they're endemic in the game?
