*Players take most shots at goal with no pressure of being tackled or distracted. Have you even watched a game of AFL?
No need to read the rule book when you already know how shit a sport is lol..
My point with the no crossbar is you can't crap on that Aussie Fools is talented when it is that easy to score. No game in the world has a goal scoring area as big as AFLSs.
Yes I have been to an AFL game, once was enough.
Was with an ex girlfriend from Adelaide.
Was the most silly 4 quarters of my life.
You know what is even funnier about your AFL.. They make a huge fuss when someone can catch the ball on the full and give them a shot at goal =D>
While Rugby League players catch high kicks constantly like it is nothing.
AFL is such a no talent sport.
Now all their supporters are getting desperate and pretending to like soccer

You don't appreciate the game much do you? Okay. Have you ever played it? I have because of where I was brought up in Gippsland. I got out as soon as I could because I didn't have the talent or the skills. You try and kick a goal every time on the run from 40 metres out. I'll bet you couldn't.
Of course when it comes to tough stuff, you can't go past league.

hmm the goal area isnt as wide - just how wide is the fucking try zone again?
Ummm yeah a Try is not a goal mate.. A try you use your hands.. totally different lol
AFL still has the biggest goal scoring area of any sport like I said.

The_Wookie wrote:Primary scoring method is a try. Dodge a few blokes and you're in! Cant exactly miss can you.
And the ball has to be put down properly. Still a lot harder than an AFL goal. Look at your score lines in AFL compared to rugby league. Poor arguement wook =D>

I highly doubt it. RL is the easiest of all Australian sports, you can succeed by simply being a good physical athlete, very little skill required.

Being a good athlete is skill. I know for a fact few AFL players would last in the NRL. They might have the stamina. But the brutal collusion tackles and explosive sprints they would struggle with as they are never done in AFL.

being athletic has nothing to do with brutal collisions
athleticism revolves around core strength, and fast muscle twitch fibres
there are plenty of unathletic professional boxers and mma fighters that take blows to the head and body that would have nrl players throwing in the towel in seconds.
being "tough" is not a trait of athleticism ya dummy

Bullshit. It takes skill to tackle and tackle well.

Falling over constantly and dropping the ball constantly and piling on top of each other is not athleticism either. And that is all that is pretty much done mostly in AFL. I know you love AFL Sydneyfc but the fact is the game is just plain uncoordinated throughout. Being a skinny unco beanstalk does not make you an athlete twat!!

NRL players have proven they are as Athletic as it gets in Australian sport over & over again in recent years.. rexonas.. the hurt locker & nutri grains tv shows dont lie.. they have consistently
Astounded people from other sports with their speed ..strength & even their stamina
Then on top of this
Theyre undoubtedly tough
RL is a brutal sport
Legal mayhem with a ball... it takes a certain type of mental toughness to charge into a defence line that intends to hurt you
It takes guts to stand yr ground as a defender against a far bigger opponent who is charging at you , at top speed ... & bring him down.
NRL players make a strong claim to be Australias best sportsmen all round
Id dare say yr best fumblers would get sick of being smashed after a handful of hit ups
& sooker players wouldnt even attempt it as theyd b in a spinal ward after one carry

Physically toughest? Sure, got no problem admitting that but the problem is the game is over reliant on physical toughness and has become progressively more so. Great athletes but not great sportsmen. There's a big difference.
As for claiming an AFL or soccer player not being able to last in a RL game, no shit Einstein, they obviously train for something different. The reverse is true as well, an RL player wouldn't be able to trap a soccer ball properly let alone complete a simple pass into midfield, the dexterity is beyond them.

Progressively Reliant ?
Its always required the tough stuff dopey.. since 1895
RLs engine room have ripped into each other from the opening whistle
Dominate your opponent. .
To create the space required for the fleet footed
backs to score tries
Its no more a feature today then back then
RL players ..Only the physically toughest
No
They are the fastest & strongest too
All sports train for different skill sets ..
But they also all aim to be fast n strong .. & NRL players are superior to all other players in other sports in this country in this dept
But being tough physically is a mind set & is usually wot you are born with
If you are a bit soft n sookey
You wont play RL..
You could easily play suggah though
Easily
