The AFL, recruit them as marketing gimmicks and they not only make the grade but are lauded by AFL players staff and fans alike :(/

Some even said it was scary how good they'd be  whatever which way you look at it, it's a rally bad look for the AFL and made its the skills of the game look not hard to pickup  ya just gotta be a good runner and ur up their with the best

That's why they played first grade. The highest level in the fumble universe.
Same with that Canadian RU player.
So yes it's very easy..
Sadly for the talentless gimps it doesn't go the other way.
None seem to be able to make it in a sport where coordination & talent are required.

recruited as a marketing gimmick and failed to make the grade in a team that won wooden spoons!
then go away to star in union

Are you seriously saying that 1. It is easy to make it at AFL level

2 . That AFL does not require coordination or any talent ?

wtf are you on about spazza.
how is it a deflection, just posting how the 2 NRL players failed at AFL level!
recruited as a marketing gimmick! its not like they did well playing at playing in the amateurs & got nominated for the draft & then picked up by a club.
the NRL players stared their comp
failed in the AFL
and starred in the union

call deflection & crap on and make all the excuses you want. they were epic failures in the AFL and went on to star in the union

I think the real question is this - both these players are EXCEPTIONAL at both rugby codes - for the average RL player without the specific abilities required I would say there is no chance - HOWEVER there are ALWAYS exceptions and that exception is Mike Pike - who is from RU - he approached the club and his persistence and determination is what got him across the line - now lining up for maybe a second Premiership medal will be regarded as by FAR greater than Folau or Hunt. BUT Folau was recruited as a key forward, Hunt as a half-forward mid - Mike Pike on the other hand a ruckman arguably a much harder role which usually takes many years for ruckman to maturer - when you look at the role they were recruited for you have to say failure - Usually after 50 and upto 50 games were starting to see players coming into their prime - Hunt was starting to become even less effective as the better players were going past him - failures both!

Oh dumbo you never cease to deliver..
Can you explain how, in your warped little world that I am deflecting.

I was replying to one of your clueless fumble mates who tried.to claim RL was Handball..
So if anyone was deflecting it was him.
I suspect you missed that post going to top up your metho so go back up the page & see what sarge posted.

Then see my reply to it .

Then you might grasp what it was about, but then again your ability to comprehend anything is poor to non existant

Rugby league, rugby union, Gaelic footy players have all made it to AFL level. As far as I know netball and soccer players haven't got there yet. But they prob will in the next ten or so years
