Someone mentioned on another forum earlier that only 4 AFL games have rated higher than the SOO game in Melbourne this year

I think the Olympic 100 metres in Sydney was or is the highest rating sports event yet I wouldn't say it is a popular sport. The Melbourne cup also rates very well .. Yet again not a reflection of the popularity of the sport. SOO is a marquee event, Victorians will watch marquee events as shown. It was also a cracker of a game. But you can bet hardly anyone is talking about it by Friday.
