yeah
about 4000 in attendance for what was an actual trial game

the KNOB cup is not a series of trial games
it is the 2nd biggest COMP the VFL has ..... it is an absolute farce as we know

but nevertheless
they are not trials as claimed by Crackpot :(/ :(/ :lol: :lol: :_<> :_<> :_<>
I must admit I forgot about this;

Also, tell me what the AFL clubs were playing for this pre season? They were playing for nothing, so they were trial games.

They were trials, Raiderdave. There was no winner and no cup. NAB were involved as a sponsor for the tour which included many different locations.

and the walls keep crumbling down, there are NRL sides scoring more points then the Lions. For example the 11th place side beating last years premiers in the NRL tonight.

Yes it's true, brissie are doomed. In fact marngrook in the AFL in qld is doomed unless they amalgamate both gc and brissie. It's just not sustainable having two sides, there's just not enough good players, money, nor crowd support.

The nrl on the other hand seems to be going fine with 3 teams and could prob sustain a fourth. Qld is rugby league heartland. Utter domination there.

I'm sure Brisbane will recruit once they sort out their internal squabbles and get a better coach in my opinion. They have some money through memberships and the players are available for development through the draft. They will be able to compete again, and last night's debacle at the hands of North Melbourne may be a wake up call.

I don't doubt on the other hand that Brisbane can sustain a second NRL team, just as long as they draw fans from outside the southern and eastern suburbs. I believe Ipswich would be a good recruiting area for members and so would the Sunshine Coast.

This is all good for competition, and the best is to have both codes playing against one another to enforce better quality on both sides. South East Queensland would be a fine battleground.
