Xman, Fyiar is a massive denialist. One can make statistics prove anything you like, but when it comes to the ones that matter - AFL wins. Fyiar can throw up all the interpretations he wants, it's like bailing out a sinking boat with a sieve. Peaks don't matter. What matters is the totals and the averages. And we know who wins that battle.

Phelpsey, I've got a spare sachet of Aspro Clear if you need it.

You're not suggesting that graph supports the RLWC are you? Two blips but absolutely smashed for interest overall. Have a look at the bar graph on the left hand side. Says it all.

But wouldn't the AFL draft be of interest Overseas ,seeing as (claimed by some handicapped posters on here),that it is a bigger game internationally.

Good description of yourself, Fyiar. Deny the stats, and rely on peaks while ignoring the bigger picture. Well done, ignoramus.

"One can make statistics prove anything you like"

you're the one who said this. if this isn't denying statistics i dunno what is.

by the way, is there any way to block individual posters? nrlc is seriously ******** and i'm feeling bad smashing every shitty point he makes about international AFL these days. he must be trolling, i dont want to believe he is a legit AFL fan as it would sadden me that a 'human' could be so stupid.

That coming from a goose who refuses to admit the excitement of the game of AFL!

You're denying stats by ignoring the ones that show that AFL is AHEAD of rugby league. You just want to spruik the ones that show rugby league in a favourable light. And worse, you don't want to combine the two! That's what I meant, and if you had any comprehension skills you would know that. You are the troll because you are the one who is showing himself to be so stupid.

what stats am i ignoring about international AFL??

you're the one ignoring record crowds and million dollar profits and advertising deals being set up as a result of the RLWC 2013 as well as far more interest in the game internationally.

you lot got smashed with your ******** AFL draft > RLWC in australia as XMan only searched 'rlwc' not rugby league world cup a far more common term.

What stats are you ignoring?? Average interest - which the AFL won according to your graph for a start! AFL played in 19 more countries than rugby league. 170 odd players playing in your World Cup Australian.

News sources covered the draft far more than the RLWC. Fact. You had to expand the search to include trivial hits in order to make the stats look good for you. Fuck that WC. It hides the fact that the world doesn't care enough about your stupid game where it counts - in playing numbers and in elite level CLUB (not rep) games.

rlwc is not commonly used outside of forums like this especially not by news articles. also, i assume that AFL national draft incorporates AFL draft as it is a subset of AFL draft. that logic would only apply for the 'google trends' thing which measures searches by entry term.

i'll check it now.

at the moment the data says:

rugby league world cup = 100
rlwc = 28
AFL draft = 20
AFL national draft = 1

for australia:

rugby league world cup = 100
AFL draft = 51
rlwc = 33
AFL national draft = 2

So, you can add 'AFL national draft' to your total and we'll add rlwc to the rugby league world cup one.
133 vs 53 in AUSTRALIA.

i could also try 'rugby league' and 'aussie rules' but that might crush you a bit too hard...

Talking of cockroaches.....referring to yourself again, Dave?

Reality check, the stats that count are in the favour of AFL. Add the trivial useless stats and you get the figures Fyiar quoted.

Live with it.
