And i think we should also talk about raiders point. How is it these irish lads, basiclly unpaid butchers, pig farmers, potato pickers and bakers, how is it they have no troubles whippin australias so called finest athletes? Its a very very strong argument against the AFL players as professional athletes, regardless of which friggin ball they're kickin!!! Lordy lordy my what on earth is the problem?
From an objective standpoint i'd have to say raiders' suggestions are fairly accurate again on this one. I mean, look at our leaguies who turn to the alternative game union as an example. The RL athletes run rampant over the sluggish fat union lards simply because they are superior athletes, in every sense...not the case for our AFL fellas playing international rules though is it...?
Simple. The essence of sports like ARs and Gaelic footy is ball control. It takes years and years to be able to master the skills required to deliver an accurate pass using either an oval or round ball, but the skill required for either are totally different. Expecting AFL players to compete with Gaelic footballers using an round ball is ludicrous, as it would be the other way, even more so. They simply cannot relearn a lifetime of ball delivery skills within a few weeks.
but but

the Irish ... exposing fumblers for the talentless bumbling gits they are

They exposed the fact they are more talented at using a round ball. What a revelation

What an ignorant racist comment from crap 1 and originally our King of the ignorants, Xman.
Tadgh Kennelly and the umpteen other Irish Gaelic players who breeze into the AFL and after a few weeks kick better than most AFL players say hello to you numbskulls.
What's that rubbish American saying you chumps use over an over again?

Yes phy and dave it's just but but but and idiocy all day long with these clowns.

You really think it was that easy?? They had to work really hard to get out of bad habits - like expecting a true bounce from an AFL ball and not getting it, doing a handpass properly, kicking properly etc etc.

Tadgh was rookie listed in 1999 was elevated in 2001 and then played seniors - two years before he played in the AFL is not exactly "breezing in". The AFL boys pick up the round ball the week before - you just show your ignorance!

To gauge the rampant stupidity of derpball fans just look at how many times they can post "International & AFL" in the same sentence.

That's a gauge? Hardly. A gauge of stupidity is how much fuss league fans are making over their World Cup when they won't have a bar of their own elite level competition. Now THAT is stupid, Dave!
