You people do, you keep posting in the threads and showing your fear.

I bet you guys watch as many games as cos789 does, that means each and every single one of them, don't you know he loves his international footy.
You bet wrong in my case. If I want to be bored I'll go watch grass grow. We post in these threads because this is a Fight Club and we fight you and put you down with facts. Is there a problem with that?

if you're not worried about international rl, you should be. it's surpised me so much. really picking up steam throughout europe, mostly Wales, Ireland, England and France but Italy/USA will also get a nice kickstart.

definitely the best RLWC by far. hopefully aus don't win, but doesn't really matter if they do. been fantastic and we're not even 1/4 of the way through.

Yeah, long live rep footy.....while club footy dies behind your back.

Fyiar my "Z"'s indicated I was bored and I went to sleep. It's a human reaction and hardly a form of rebuttal.

And while AFL is Australia WIDE, NRL will continue to marginalise in NSW and QLD - where soccer is taking your heartland away - something that won't happen in AF states as people will support both! Good luck in convincing yourself that RL represents Australia - at this point in time it represents just NSW and QLD!

soccer isnt even a competing competition though? its just taking away from summer sports like cricket....

i know lots that support soccer and the tigers, but if they were on at the same time they wouldnt be going to any a league games.

and how is rep footy killing club footy? once the nrl makes it standalone there will be no issue. again AFL management > nrl management.....

They won't make it stand alone, because Nine will tell them to leave it alone!

And only the A-League play in the summer. The majority of soccer plays in the winter!

Spoken like a true Victorian.
Living in the bubble in victardia does that ,
here is some news.RL & soccer have co existed or 100 yrs in Sydney.
& just because some news ltd hack says that soccer is taking over that doesn't make it so.
Tell me ,which code has alienated soccer supporters in Syd.
Not RL,Not RU .
God damn I feel dumber for reading Victorian drivel.

your missing the point arsraiderdave, so in simple idiot terms so you can understand
popularity of Soccer growing
popularity of NRL declining.

more kids playing Soccer & AFL
less kids playing Legaue
soccer isnt near popularity of League as yet, but its growing. it is played Australia wide & is gaining a huge popularity in NSW.
is that simple enough to understand?

Another dumb dumb derpball fan.
I am not dave ,but if it makes you feel 'Special" go ahead.

Now dumbo.
Soccer has always been huge in syd ,participation wise.Lots of kids playing it & some go to other sports.

Soccer & RL share fans & grounds...always have.

& can you show me something that isn't a lie from AFL house(they get caught out a lot)about these wonderful participation numbers for Fumbleball.
when caught out by the senate committee they were telling a massive whopper .somehow 3k became 20K.
I like real numbers, you know REGISTERED players in actual comps ..that shows the truth .

Try reading the report by Lawson (commissioned by vlad)

It tells it like it is.
No BS ,no sugar coating.& that is why when its findings were released vlad made sure that it was kept quiet as possible.

some interesting snippets.

4.3 Health Check
4.3.1 Multiple Versions of Auskick
In the chase for participant numbers in NSW and ACT, a shortened and often subsidised version of Auskick has been aggressively rolled out in primary schools (In-School Auskick) and after-school centres (Community Auskick). The In-School participants have rarely elected to join an Auskick program. Their school has chosen to include an Auskick program.
Junior club feedback has indicated that the In-School and Community versions have, at times, harmed Club Auskick. Consequently, the longer term retention of entry

1. Western Sydney – The Reality versus Perception Gap
The reality is that junior club maturity and participation numbers appear to have stalled. There are 6% less junior/youth players in 2012 than in 2009. The perception, however, is that the game is growing well. This perception is supported by masking low junior club numbers with Auskick numbers (Club, School and Community Auskick) and school program numbers. This optimistic, bullish perception is needed to market the game, however this perception urgently needs to be underpinned by committed junior club participants.

b. Retention above U14
The greatest „retention cliff‟ in GSJ football occurs from U14 to U15 age groups (-27%; 706 to 515 players in Greater Sydney).
