NRL spokesman announced at 4pm that there is a phew hundred seats left, will be a sellout by game time.................so the NRL has doubled its TV contracts, doubled its online digital rights and doubled its sponsorship deals, now it has also doubled the revenue made from GF Day.............. =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>
Add into that the NRL will have the 4 largest sports broadcasts in 2013 and it does not look all that bad as some of you singlet wearing seagulls suggest........... :_<> :_<> :_<> :_<>
Speaks volumes about the NRL hey Xman.........

Fifty-two percent of seats sold to the public for this year’s Grand Final will be priced from $80 to $165 - less than the cost of a standing room ticket to Melbourne’s Grand Final.
The $345 top price for a Diamond ticket remains below the cost of a second tier ticket at the MCG in 2012 and below the cost of events such as the 2014 Australian Open Men’s final at $390 and Major League Baseball game at $499. Diamond level seating is in the lower bowl only from try line to try line.
The $80 Bronze seating cost represents a $15 price rise on 2012 in a category that has only increased $25 since 2008 (2008 price $55).
What has caused some confusion is that the Bronze seating has been redistributed from the lower bowl to the upper levels.
This is the result of increased demand for lower bowl seating and also a reclassification of seating in the upper levels. The redistribution reflects the feedback the game has received from fans about the comparative value of each area in the stadium.
This year’s Grand Final will again feature major Australian and Overseas stars as well as a day of great Rugby League entertainment and a major events precinct.
To invest in the growth of the event each year and to take Grand Final week to new levels in the future it is necessary to keep pace with other major entertainment and sporting events.
In doing so there is a commitment to retain entry level ticketing prices such as a $215 family ticket.
Hmmmmm
