The AFL arent silly enough to lie. What would they achieve by doing this?
Bad press!

See?
AT LEAST seven AFL clubs were named in a confidential briefing to competition chiefs by the Australian Crime Commission as being vulnerable to illicit drugs.

Still no lies, different matter

Illicit drugs could be steriods or PEDs but it could also be recreational.

I understand your confusion, but the ACC report makes clear distinction between 'Performance Encancing Drugs' and illicit drugs. Illicit drugs are what the AFL term 'recreational drugs.'

If the report states that only 7 AFL clubs have issues with illicit drugs, it's 11 clubs short of the truth IMO.

Correct. Details about clubs/players taking PED's have already been disclosed.

Ellicit drug use may be 7 clubs but this could be a single player at each club. This wouldnt be surprising given the results of previous year's 3 strikes policy.

Fair enough I was just going by the definition of the word "illicit" If the ACC is the source of the quote and they use the word illicit to define recreational drugs then that is good to know. So it is just the 2 AFL clubs they are investigating for PEDs.

That slimmy deputy ceo ronald mcdonald or what ever his name is and his fearless leader dermititis are manipulating the truth, simple as that.

The AFL were tipped off before xmas and they did nothing. nice job AFL

What is funny is that they keep talking about the fact that they have 2 clubs under suspision for performance drugs but that havent said much about the illicit drug epidemic at AFL clubs. 9 AFL clubs implicated with criminal links? wow

instead of trying to bash everyone but yourself how about you look in your own backyard because it will come back and bite you! and bite hard!

How did they do nothing? They ran a drug summit in January involving players, club staff, drug experts, and medical staff. They discussed their policies results so far and determined what changes were required to improve the policy.

What the hell have the NRL done? Nothing!

Lol, in another thread you said ithe drug summit was just about illicit drugs now you've changed your tune! How about you do your research before flying at the mouth next time!!

Both the nrl and AFL are in the sh!t. They have a very similar performance enhancing policy than the AFL. AFL new about the investigation and did nothing! Dermatitis is a joke!

Where did I contradict that above moron?

What difference does it make if the AFL 'knew' about the investigation? They have their own policies to follow. Why change them mid investigation? Especially now we know it was limited to very few players and even they haven't been found cheating!

FORMER Hawthorn and All Australian player Trent Croad was involved in a peptide supply deal linked to an outlaw bikie gang, in the latest revelation to emerge in the sport supplement scandal.
Fairfax Media can also reveal that about 50 serving and former professional sportsmen, including players from six NRL clubs - Cronulla, Manly, Canberra, Penrith, the Newcastle Knights and North Queensland - are under scrutiny over their personal supplement use. Fairfax Media is not suggesting the players breached doping rules, but their supplement use is being examined by authorities.
