so how many Kiwis need to be involved in an ANZAC event or ceremony for it to be considered "true ANZAC" Dave. Think hard about this one.

ceremony ... none
a sporting event .... at least 25% of the players
otherwise ... yr just playing with yrself
& of course .. we know the VFL do this quite a bit

well the AFL event has a ceremony and there are plenty of kiwis involved in that.
Id love to see any official or even unofficial statement saying 25% of a sporting events players must be from either nation for it to be considered a real ANZAC day event.
I'll wait. Im sure youll have it soon.

put em all together in one sentence
& we're ANZAC legit eh
nah
unless theres plenty of Kiwis fumbling ... bumbling & missing out there on the GGGGGGGGGGGGG
( and of course that'd be unlikely as we know kiwis think victorian rules is probably the stupidest game on the planet

its the only opportunity these Sthn **** get to see a REAL ANZAC ( Australia New Zealand Army Corps) clash ...
the melbourne suburbs involed in the VFL AAC game ( Australian Army Corps) should be thankful the Storm & Warriors allow them to share some of the limelight

I suppose the nRL game on ANZAC Day in Sydney at the SFS is called the NSWRL AAC (Australian Army Corps) game because no NZ team is playing in it? Can't have it both ways dick head!

Try again Cockhead
of the 34 players named for last years game between the Dragons & Roosters
11 were New Zealand Nationals
the NRL has 2 bona fide ... legit .... proper ... ANZAC clashes on April 25th
the VFL has an indulgent schlong fiddling w@nk

Your definition of a legit ANZAC clash is one with a New Zealand team playing in it dick head, like you said before. Therefore in your words as no NZ team is playing in the Sydney game, it's not a legit ANZAC game
Can't have it both ways, Raiderdave

no
a Kiwi team.... or ... NZ'ers taking part ( playing ) in a sporting contest against Australians on ANZAC day meets the requirement
ANZAC
Definition ..... Australia New Zealand Army Corps
this silly little victorian game ... that is really only paid attention to in a small corner of one half of one nation & is either ignored ...or not even heard of anywhere else on this planet
does not meet either requirement

who's requirement? Please show evidence an ANZAC day MUST have participants from both countries to be deemed a genuine ANZAC day event......
Youve conveniently ignored my previous request. I wonder if you'll ignore this one?

What does it mean today?
Australians recognise 25 April as an occasion of national remembrance, which takes two forms. Commemorative services are held at dawn – the time of the original landing – across the nation. Later in the day, ex-servicemen and women meet to take part in marches through the major cities and in many smaller centres. Commemorative ceremonies are more formal and are held at war memorials around the country. In these ways, ANZAC Day is a time when Australians reflect on the many different meanings of war.

Please show me where it mentions New Zealand in the above statement Dave..

I don't understand how Australians competing AGAINST New Zealanders would honour ANZAC day. If it was a combined Aus and NZ team taking on the Turks, then perhaps....
TBH I don't know how sport of any kind (including Australian Football) is a celebration of ANZAC day. Tends to make uncomfortable comparisons about sacrifice and courage which glorifies sport and trivialises war, but that's another topic altogether.

Australians & Kiwis played sport against each other during the 8 month stay on the beaches of Gallipoli , hell even the poms joined in
Cricket
Rugby
Rugby League
its only fitting this is re enacted on ANZAC day
what Aussies & Kiwis didn't do together ... was fumble bumble & miss .... on the beaches of Gallipoli
