Ok stewie me boy lets clarify this. RD has classicly clarified the AFL supporters, particularly those in the southern states as..."Brainwashed merinos"

With your quote above, and Xmans parroting of it, we can seriously only assume this is correct right?

I mean seriously...answer me bitch
Again. Seriously. It's either they enjoy their league...or its Raiders assessment. It's either/or stewie me boy :D ...Though I'd like to think there's diversity and it's a bit of both!

Go the southern Aus cities...Yay!
Read. Consider. And then post.

How many people tune in to watch minor sports in the Olympics, like archery, table tennis, badminton, shooting? Yet they would never consider watching these sports on a regular basis because of lack of interest. They are watching the spectacle called the Olympics.
Same for SOO. Fans tune in to watch a traditional rivalry between one state and another. Yet these same fans couldn't be bothered to flick the TV on, or change channels to watch RL on other occasions. For them its mundane without the added attraction of the event.

The best part of your post above Xman? The lil wink after the first para

You actually think you're making a sound point
Ahhh tell me this my merino friend. How many 'Australians' watch 'argentina' vs 'canada' in the olympic archery, table tennis, badminton, shooting? And then how many south and western australians watch RL at SOO time? It's one in 15 for the latter and their "team" aint even competing.
So Xman and Stewie I urge you again to answer my question. Are these 300,000 southerners who watch RL year in year out brainwashed merinos? Or do they enjoy their league. It's definitely either/or :D
I wont be as harsh as Dave, though he may well be correct. But I'd take a pot shot and say around 1/4 of a million are loving their RL. The others? Brainwashed merinos fo sho!
