He was last season gumby and he was paid the same right? Now answer my question how much does the average rookie earn?

It depends on their age of entry I believe. 18yr olds from the draft get a base set wage. Mature age rookie listed players can get more.

I see. Well have you got any figures there? I'd be unsurprised if the khunt's getting a little more than he deserves. Both player and promo wise.

I have no figures other than to say he's getting the average wage for an AFL footballer as already stated? Remember his extensive marketing and promotion of the game directly benefits the suns as well. Plus his professionalism as an elite athlete is well acknowledged. He deserves a decent income from them too.

He's overpayed for what he's producing on the field. Everyone knows that.

He's performed about average and is paid an average wage for his on field performance. How is that overpaid?

He's performed poorly and received an above average wage. I dont buy your defense of his pay packet one bit Xman. He's number 24 on the roster

Each AFL team has 46 listed players. Each of their pays are included in the average wage of 250k per year. Therefore the top 22 would get over the average. Hunt is paid about what a middle of the road player would be at every club, which is appropriate given he's a middle of the road player on their list.

Add to that he also does promotional work for the AFL, which he gets paid for, but also benefits the suns.

What the f are you talking about? I showed you an article which shows the average AFL wage. I showed you the original dreamteam site. You've provided nothing.

Here is Essendons dreamteam list: http://www.footywire.com/AFL/footy/tr-e ... t=TA&st=DT

Ranked number 24 is Kyle Reimers who is a pretty decent player and would easily warrant a pay of 250k. Hardingham is ranked 28 and he's one of our better backmen!

You've got no idea!

Is Reimers earning 350k?

And you now seem to be arguing against the validity of your position on the dreamteam as being a good indicator. Really, you just chop and change like lady gaga in the dressing room dont you? We never know what kind of backflip outfit you'll wear next to try and prove your point.

Personally I think its all just a lame grab at attention with you. [-(

I'm saying that every team has a selection of 30 or more players who are worthy of playing senior footy. If not they'd be crap if they were struck by injuries. Just because he's 24th doesn't mean he's not valuable.
