As I said, I didn't say the issue was related to current selectors.
Anyway, that is one sport. How is that evidence for all sports?

It was more of a perception that based on fact. I am happy to concede it has no real foundation. Just like the ridiculous comment about Victoria being underrepresented in international sport.

Victorians excel at sport. We have 50% of the winter olymic gold medals, about 25% of the socceroo players for the last year. Australias best basketball player and also the best ever basketball player. Current olympic pole vault champion, we could even claim Cathy Freeman who has spent most of her life in Melbourne. I think I good way to go would be to look at the current batch of Australian olympicans (just look at the team going to London this year) and work out the percentage of Victorians if it is less then 20% you may have a point. Anyone want to look this up??
