RL is played in a number of countries, hence a number of people from different countries play the game in Australia! It has nothing to do with with whether or not those ethnic groups are accepted or discriminated against! Nothing at all.

Melbourne is a very multicultural city. It may not have as many Polynesians but it has many Sudanese, Indians, Asian, European and other pacific island groups who live here. Whether people from these racial groups play professional ARs is irrelevant. if they are accepted into society they are accepted overall.

Why are you trying to link multiculturalism with racism? They are completely separate. Cities like London are multicultural. Do you think London have as issue with racism? What about multicultural Sydney? The Cronulla riots were one of the blackest days in our history. Just because more races live in the same area or are involved in the same sport doesn't mean they get along better. Andrew Johns showed this only recently with his comments as assistant coach.

Well you'd be wrong. The NRL have had their fair share of racist incidents, and some quite recently. Every ethnic group is prone to racist attitudes. Just because you have more of them in one competition, or city, or country, doesn't mean you have less racism!

Just because a group of people incorporates a broader range of ethnic groups does not make them less or more prone to racism! Look at Sydney and the Cronulla riots! This is an area with substantial numbers of more than one ethnic group yet racism was rife. London is another city with large proportions of different ethnic populations but is a melting pot of racist tension.

To try and correlate multiculturalism and racism is just ignorance! Assimilation is far more relevant.

That happened at a Macdonalds in the CBD, how is that the same as it happening at the game as it happens in the AFL. And did you see what Benji did to the bloke, punched his head in.
Then the bloke was on the News apologizing to Benji. Furthermore that happened at like 2am in the morning, and that so called fan was not at the game hurling racist abuse like that Collingwood fan that got his 20 year membership taken away.

The AFLs stance and policies on racism are way ahead of the NRL actually. The fact that this recent incident was reported by fans and a player of an opposition team shows how the problems of racism are being treated seriously.

Meanwhile the NRLs assistant coach for their NSW team makes racist comments about the opposition and a member of his team walks out on principle. What happened to this coach?

And are you suggesting the RL fan at McDonald's didn't know Benji Marshall was a RL player? It doesn't matter where he was racially vilified, it's still wrong and attitudes like this still need to be addressed. How did the NRL deal with that?

10% of AFL listed players are indiginous Australians, similar to the NRL.
