FTA TV to take all overpriced NRL games in the absence of Foxtel being involved? Tell em his dreaming.
Optus Now perhaps in light of the recent court judgement I hear you say... Hmm, game has to be broadcast first to allow that. hahaha
1 billion dreams shattered. Nawwww, sad isn't it.

No NRL.... No Foxtel
would fold within 5 years
RL states hold 65% of subscriptions .... & most in these states have Foxtel .. for the NRL
if it were somewhere else
Foxtels customer service section would be in meltdown with people cancelling their subscriptions
big bikkies coming our way

Oh what a lot of rot! The majority of Foxtel subscribers want the unique general programming and Main Event!
that'd be why nearly every year ........74 of the top 100 shows on foxtel .....are RL programs
for most in NSW .. the ACT & QLD
no NRL .... no foxtel
bye bye foxtel ..........

Foxtel is only capital cities. It'll survive on where NRL is not cared about. Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.

Foxtel are looking at buying Austar ... may have already
726,000 Austar subscribers ... most in Regional NSW & QLD
the uptake for foxtel in the **** capitals is still way way behind those in Sydney & brisbane
if Sydneysiders & Brisbanites start unsubscribing
Foxtel .. are rooted

No they aren't. Melbourne has a strong following, which will rise with the return of Fox Footy.

hmmmmm
so the return of a channel that previously failed on pay tv due to lack of interest .. will be the catalyst for increasing susbscriptions in Melb
It wasn't failing. There were a huge number of complaints when the old channel wound up. It wound up because Foxtel lost the primary rights, not because of a lack of interest.

my understanding is that the AFL channel was too limited in available content because they were only allowed to show 3 games per week. Now they have 9.
