You are all missing the point.
Parafeel has quoted the "RFL" and then tried to insert some figures for rl.
First of all the RFL runs the SL , the BARLA runs the everyday rl.
Parafeel hasn't used "English rl" or "British rl" he specifically said "RFC" so he is actually using BARLA figures to a large degree.
Somebody has clarify what the actual claim is.
Somebody has to post some links that mean something.

But do we even have to trouble ourselves with that.
In another post I displayed eveidence that at least 60k people played AR O/S.(not the final total)
Does anyone challenge that ?
Puts parafeels target to 3 million doesn't it !!
Nice try Cos.

Bahahahaha, barla only ever ran the amateur game since the 70's up until a few years ago, that Richard Lewis article I posted should've gave you the answer but I guess you conveniently missed it.

Typical aye Sara.

From the same link, and I see the liar (cuz Sara) tried to make out the RFL loses money each year lol.
Facts & Figures
Rugby League is played in every English county as well as in Wales, Scotland and Ireland. It is also played in all major Universities and throughout the Armed Forces.

In the last two year's, Rugby League has experienced a 27% increase in participation with almost 250,000 people currently involved as players, coaches, match officials or volunteers.

Participation among women and girls has also seen a healthy year-on-year increase of 42%

50 per cent of viewers who watch Rugby League on Sky Sports live in the South of England.

The game is one of Sport England's Top 10 'priority' sports and as a result receives significant annual Government investment.

The Champion Schools tournament is the largest knock-out Rugby League competition in the world. In the last five years, more than 1,500 schools and 90,000 pupils have taken part.

The RFL has declared a profit for a seven consecutive seasons.
