10k in Russia compared to 9 individuals playing AwFuL, 23 senior teams in South Africa with juniors compared to 2k auskickers there.

& the NZRL has said in their annual report this year ... they're struggling to cope with the explosion in playing numbers
they don't have the volunteers & officials .. referees etc to keep up with demand

PNG is an estimate only ... they ceratinly have 60K registered club players & PNGRL says a near incalcuable number of unregistered players
theres not a part of PNG it isn't played

but thats well ova 400K between those 4 nations .... alone
without counting any of our other 30 nations

& I think we're starting to see whos winning what here
