The Titans pay $300,000 per game rental, while their rivals for the wooden spoon, the Sydney Roosters, pay $40,000 a game for hiring the SFS.
What's that got to do with fans you lot describe as loyal, not showing up at Titans home games?

ah.. he'd be pointing out the Titans are the most expensive side in Australian sport .. to watch

unlike the AFL subsidised thuns
who are the cheapest

I call that an excellent reason for the Titans to play somewhere else.
PNG perhaps?

I hear the Titans ongoing financial struggles may see a move there in any case.

Really, where is this extra money for the NRL going to come from with Channel 10 and 9 broke, Channel 7 committed to the AFL and Foxtel... well we know how they feel about the NRL compared to the jewel in Australian sports broadcasting the AFL.
Williams, who built Foxtel from a loss maker to a $550 million profit earner, listed this year's AFL deal as one of his finest achievements. He considers rugby league a more downmarket product

its there .....claims of being broke won't deter the NRL
broadcasters have made their bed by paying what they did for an under performing commodity in the AFL
they've set the tone
Ch 7 will see a great opportunity to finally kill off Ch 9 by ensuring they don't get the NRL ... they'll buy it ...& hell they'll give it to 10 for a song.. even if they lose a fair bit in the deal .. as a long as 9 are gone
Foxtel are in for the rudest shock ever if they pull their present line on .. its a bluff
lets see ...who sees it out
massive competitive tension out there for the sport of the next 2 decades ... unlike the AFL .. stuck at the station ... the NRL is a train going somewhere
all aboard

like I said

I wouldn't wanna be you when it all unfolds

Ten are done with sport. They're even downsizing One HD.

Sorry are we talking about the Gold Coast that straddles NSW/QLD? The one that has the second highest penetration of league juniors. Are the Titan that team who even in finishing last had ratings 3-4 times higher than the Suns?

Are the Suns popular because they everyone drinks?

Yeah, you know that NRL team that was caught out fudging crowd numbers all year and has a paltry 3,060 members signed up for 2012. Less members than the Suns and get this... GWS have more members than them.

The people of the Gold Coat just love their RL and Titans.

Beaussie they have zero club members. All their claimed members are LC members.
