How can it be said these measurements are up when they are clearly proven to be made up?

When you say "officially" that is from rl sources. Believe them if you wish but don't expect us to disbelieve other independant sources. IMO Gallop seems to coming out with increasingly desperate comments obviously to shore up his claim for a big TV payout. If the TV payout is going to be based on crowd numbers, the NRL has no chance of getting anything even close to what the AFL obtained.

& as for our TV deal.... TV stations will be clamouring to get some NRL action
the most watched sport on TV ... with rising ratings making the gap between it & its nearest competitor .. bigger each year
