Re: Sydney is an AFL town
The money thing you may be close with there cos but we will see. As far as I've read though crowds are up and tv audiences are up. This pendulum notion you introduce to claim that 2012 will be a bad year is just one big ass assumption.
And Topper me boy! Sheesh read my signature and you might see your foolishness, out of touchness, and under educated self reflected. A liar though not, I havent thought you have lied yet Topper me boy.

He is too poorly educated to understand plain math.Beaussie wrote:You really expect us to believe that when the Titans as a prime example were busted numerous times this year fudging their crowds.King-Eliagh wrote:Crowds are up
Rugby League has a lying culture. Altering crowd figures, relying on inaccurate TV figures from regional NSW and refusing to distance itself from Leagues Clubs and obtain it's own club memberships as it relies on LC's to survive as private entities.

Stop trying to swerve the topic again Topper with your silly assumptions.
Beaussie you make a fair point, but officially crowds are still up last I heard.
Crowds are up. Tv audiences are up. As Raider says its happy days for the nrl. Happy days.

How can it be said these measurements are up when they are clearly proven to be made up?King-Eliagh wrote:Beaussie you make a fair point, but officially crowds are still up last I heard.

Re: Sydney is an AFL town
Only in the NRL do we see crowds and tv ratings figures fudged. This has been proven.

Time and time again, and they won't get the message that the public is onto them.

When you say "officially" that is from rl sources. Believe them if you wish but don't expect us to disbelieve other independant sources. IMO Gallop seems to coming out with increasingly desperate comments obviously to shore up his claim for a big TV payout. I don't want to rehash that argument but the latest is a suggestion of a possibility of a one year. There is no way and I repeat no way, a suggestion like that would surface unless the initial feedback was for a potentially disastrously low figure for rl.King-Eliagh wrote:Beaussie you make a fair point, but officially crowds are still up last I heard.
But go ahead, believe what you want. We all await the result.
Nice try Cos.
Re: Sydney is an AFL town
If the TV payout is going to be based on crowd numbers, the NRL has no chance of getting anything even close to what the AFL obtained.

oh ... & anything official from the AFL is not to be scrutinised & is gospel
please .... fairy tale stuff most of it
problem is AFL fans in the main are brainwashed mushrooms & anything they are told .. they believe
" oh we must give GWS & the thuns all the draft preferences ... all your.. err

& the wombats swallow this tripe
& as for our TV deal.... TV stations will be clamouring to get some NRL action
the most watched sport on TV ... with rising ratings making the gap between it & its nearest competitor .. bigger each year
why wouldn't they .... the code of the next 2 decades
