Now how can one be "bitter" with all the humor that emanates from the AFL and their supporters as they plan to takeover the "world" or sorry three streets in Fairfield. 12k people paying $50 is not a membership it is an expensive petition. No we get these great predictions about the failure of NRL clubs and mergers in western Sydney which are just AFL fantasies - a bit like their "statistics".

I doubt that because these memberships are good for the entire 2012 season. To have such numbers before GWS have even played a single game for premiership points is a great achievement no matter which way you look at it.

Bullshit, $50 memberships mean phark all in the real world, lets see what they have when the season starts and lets count actual Sydneysiders who have memberships, not all the tards from vicoland helping to spread their plague anyway possible. Yes, we all know the Lions Swans and Thuns have heaps of memberships from vicoland, we have known this for years whn you idiots try and rub our noses in it.

But it's quite funny that the real members for the teams that live in these cities are actually quite small.

Not to mention that 40% are in Canberra and that is regional. We all know that the "AFL Authorities" dont let you count regional because they dont matter. Perhaps regional is ok if it makes the AFL look better

A foundation membership is a commitment to the club. I appreciate this worries you throwball fans when you see the numbers GWS has been able to attract. Going to be even bigger next season too.

$50 a membership for over 12K puts over $600K into the club in order to offer membership services in one hit. Every single RL club in Australia would love that sort of money in one hit. I wonder where that commitment has been until recently? It wasn't an RL market tack until they saw how much it was helping AFL clubs. Parramatta are now copying an AFL tactic and so they should. Give some credit if you can.
