only 124 Million

oh dear
Take away the ratings for the SOO and any other non club games. Then report back the fair and just figures - and don't forget to admit that it will fall behind.

Just out of interest, how much do the voices of AFL think that the NRL will get when the deal is done? I'm predicting close to the $1billion. before we start talking about extra games for the NRL lets also include the extra hours of AFL in the equation, i.e. about an extra hour per game (NRL two hours a game AFL 3 hours a game).

Then let's talk about averages.

Take your time. I'm in no hurry.

I predict nothing more than an increase from the current $500 million deal to approx $780 - $800 million. Many media buyers and journalists agree. The NRL has nothing extra to sell this time round. They've previously sold out on things like Monday night football and a twighlight grand final. What else is there to offer the tv networks to get anywhere near $1 billion from the current deal of $500 million?

Many media buyers and journalists agree that the NRL is only worth $780 - $800 million. I agree with them.

Time will tell Raider. I imagine your excuse list as to why the NRL does not get a billion is already being worked on.. Let me guess, News Ltd, failings of David Gallop, Foxtel and Channel 9 not undertanding the value of the game. I'm sure there are more conspiracy theories to come too.

I think it is hilarious that you think the NRL will double its current deal of $500 million with nothing extra to offer the tv networks after selling out on Monday night football and a night grand final in the last deal. Any network that pays double the current amount for nothing new ain't real smart when it comes to business if you ask me and are in fact doing a diservice to their shareholders.
