PTV ..... What did the NRL rate last night?

The NRL wasn't on PTV last night when they are it's a 250k average - that's without Warriors fans. When all revenue streams are included its nearer 280k....... thats compared to your (almost) 200k. =D> =D> =D>
all the NRL games shown on PTV, bar a few a year, are in isolation. They aren't comparable as an average to AFL because all bar one AFL game per round is shown concurrently with another PTV game.

And what are the NRL FTA ratings when the same game is shown concurrently on PTV?

What are your thoughts on the NRL FN game losing almost every single week despite being shown between 7-30 and 9-30, so more in prime time? :-k

Our Concurrent ratings are larger then the AFL's also.

Your taking the good (more money from more advertising from a longer game) and trying to discard the bad(overlapping telecasts).................................Sorry mate its all part and parcel of having 9 games with 3hours game time...... ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

Round 6
Concurrent games
Sat 13/04/13 730pm PTV NRL MEL vs SOUTHS 379k
Sat 13/04/13 730pm PTV NRL CAN vs WAR 85k + NZ sky 86,070
Concurrent Total = = 550k

Round 8
Concurrent games
Sun 05/05/13 2PM PTV NEW vs CRO 175k + NZ Sky delayed 37,900
Sun 05/05/13 2PM PTV GCT vs WAR 93k + NZ Sky 120,470
Concurrent Total = 427k

Round 10
Concurrent games
Sat 18/05/13 730pm PTV NQL vs SYD 265k
Sat 18/05/13 730pm PTV WAR vs PEN 125k + NZ Sky 58k
Concurrent total = 448k

Round 11
Concurrent games
Sat 25/05/13 730pm PTV MEL vs SYD 356k + NZ Sky 30,210
Sat 25/05/13 730pm PTV MAN vs CAN 141k
Concurrent Total = 527k

Oh look NRL owning the AFL concurrent game ratings..............no surprises here move along............ :_<> :_<> :_<>

So to win you include another countries ratings.... :(/

All you are doing is proving the AFL is more popular in Australia. =D>

How many of those games were concurrent against a FTA game

No comment on the FN thrashings every week either

One week with out overlaps. No wait its been happening every time we don't have overlaps. Just a continuum of a trend then. No difference between the two sports PTV rating with no overlap. Oh no i should have said OZ PTV ratings. Suprised you stopped at just the NZ ratings being added.

No difference :(/ :(/. Try 50k for just 90% of the NRL. If we include the entire NRL its around 75-80K :(/ :(/ :(/

What are you trying to say that the NRL is averaging 300k on PTV in OZ and 330k for OZ and NZ? I don't think so.

This week.

AFL average with no overlap 235K.

That's 3 weeks in a row with the AFL averaging about 238k on foxtel. All due to no overlapping games. Now if AFL had some fox exclusive games these ratings would be massive.

Im not trying to say anything. NRL average 250, AFL Average 200(almost :(/ ). When, not just part of the NRL is included, the Average becomes 270-280.

Your own AFL loving Wookie's figures back up those stats

Why would there be any difference? for the add free , Hi Deff , live broadcast. - who forks out $50 - 80 a month for the same program with adds and often a lesser quality?

If the NRL had it's top games on PTV, Coded their PTV games in the same way and had all 16 clubs fan bases represented, than the gap would be even more massive than the massive amount the gap is now

Comparing ratings on fox alone is a bit misleading. All you are comparing is those people who have fox, a very distinct population. Whereas almost everyone has fta tv. When comparing just fox you have to consider who would take or up and for what reason. If your an nrl fan there has been a big incentive to have fox as basically if you want to watch nrl at any decent level, you need fox . And it has been like this for some time. So I would imagine there is quite the substantial population of fox subscribers who got it for the nrl. I also suspect a proportion of them would flick on the AFL from time to time. For the AFL a lot of games can be accessed on fta therefore the uptake is a lot less . As more and more games , and higher quality games go over to fox, we will see the AFL subscriptions rise , but they are a long way behind those of nrl, as it is only recently AFL supporters needed fox. So I am surprised that AFL ratings on fox are as high as they are .. It would be great to have a state by state breakdown , however I suspect a significant proportion of AFL ratings would come from Sydney and qld given the high update of fox in those states. This would also account for low fta numbers in Sydney as most would watch on fox.

Im a little confused, if you are referring to the higher ratings then.

Your kidding right? Ummm maybe because it is next to impossible to watch 2 games on foxtel at once. All of the games bar Friday night overlap with another game. In the last three weeks none of the games overlap, due to there only being 6 games a week. The difference in ratings was on average 40k more Per game. It's not rocket science.

If you are referring to fox exclusive games, then this would make a huge difference to markets like SA and WA, who don't have to pay a cent to watch their teams week in and week out on FTA TV. The subscription rates in these states would boom.
