Admitted as much! I refer to your figures that confirmed the AFL PTV ratings average is slightly under 200 , while the NRL 's is 250+. And as you can see, from XMan 's post, the AFL now use a different coding system, seperating there PTV matches into a pre - main - and post match sections, so as to increase the ratings for the main game. One can only wonder at just how far ahead the NRL woulld be if it was a level playing field.

And that doesn't include Nz . With Warriors fans included that average increases even more. =D>

Thanks for the tabulation Eels. It shows that with no overlap that the AFL averages about 240K on foxtel. Pretty similar to the NRL in OZ.

Only problem with that is Port need to spend to stay competitive with the rest of the competition, the raiders are putting money in the bank and buying up real estate and making the club financially viable for the future.................Port are 1 recession away from going broke........

Thats awesome. Except Port Adelaide are actually owned by the SANFL, and soon to be a subsidary of the AFL. Ports current role is to supply ongoing fundng for the SANFL, not bankroll profit for itself. .

This week AFL has averaged 240K on fox while the NRL have averaged 229K on fox. The difference being that the AFL had only 6 games this week with no overlap. Goes to show that with no overlap that the AFL and the NRL rate about the same on fox.

Wrong again mate. It wasn't sudden death even with a loss or a draw the soccerroos would have gotten through. We finshed 3 points ahead of Jordan in our group with a much better goal difference. The chances at the time were good to get through even with a draw or loss. The win just guaranteed it :D
