I wonder who's going to win the battle of the battle of Monday? Can the AFL's one game beat TWO nRL games?
I think we all know the answer is a hilarious yes.

10,572 for the NZ warriors. Looks grossly exaggerated, but anyway, still a dismal number
Not a good start for the NRL on Easter Monday

Patrick Keane on twitter:
Round one attendance tally of just over 365k represents the third-best single round in the game's history.
Average over 40k for 9 games played in each of the 5 largest states in Australia!
Wow, just bloody wow! =D> =D>

Thats a total of 365,867 for round 1 AFL season 2013.
An average of 40,652. Thats the third highest round total in AFL history, less then 2k total off a record.

Hilarious new challenge. Can 2 nRL games today combined get HALF as many people as the AFL's one?
They'll need a combined 38,150. Game 1 had just over 10k, requiring a crowd of 28k for the 2nd game.
Good luck fellas.

Lol
Last year involved the giants first ever game with clear reasons why the crowds were higher. This makes 2013 a fantastic result.

Down about 1500 on last year. Or another way of putting it would be that its about as big as 3 NRL rounds.

If they had have played north v Collingwood at the MCG it would have easily been the number 1. They only got 41k at etihad and would have got 60k at the MCG

18,014 for rooster v eels, two large NRL clubs...
NRL Easter Monday.....28,586 from 2 games
AFL.........76,3600
Yep, Drac was right. The AFL more than doubled both NRL games added together!

Its quite simple..... The AFL round average was lower than last year! And you AFL fairies have been banging on about how your code is growing!!!
I think some people in this forum should just cop it sweet instead of coming up with excuse after excuse. But, but, but!

Nice try. Last years round 1 was the second highest single round ever. This was the third and only a thousand or so behind.
Oh doom and gloom!
