If I had a guess IMO AFL PTV ratings are going past NRL as shown by the most recent Monday night game. The game would have rated 400K if Perth were forced to watch their most popular team on fox. With the split rounds coming up for the AFL over the next 3 weeks you will notice the averages going up by quite a bit over this period.

to 113 in 2012................
. The Australian went from 113 million in 2011 for the NRL to 114 million in 2012. You quote the 133 million figure (the one you take as gospel) and compare it to a different study. They are using different data mate. Hopefully you can see this because the AFL had two different amounts as well in the same year.
