What does the union and aye league average?
The sfs is the same age as the great southern stand at the mcg and is far less used!

Those teams can play at the soon to be revamped or the fully rebuilt parramatta stadium! The new 30k seater will only ever be filled like twice before you loons will be crying it needs another rebuilt

I am on record as saying I'm not worried about the dollar spend. It is only 2% of total govt infrastructure spend over the period of construction and falls to a tiny decimal point % over the expected life of the stadiums.

I'm against where they're spending it. Ideally they need one 80k+ stadium built near a transport hub with existing surrounding infrastructure, hospitality etc. Ideally straight over the top of central station, which has been suggested, is the best option. All GF's, SOO, Bledisloe cups, soccer internationals etc could be played there. Plus the Roosters, Waratahs and SFC could use it as their home ground with the upper tiers closed down on match days. Then bulldoze Homebush and forget about it. Trouble is it won't happen.

As such I would have either refurbed Allianz or rebuilt a 30k stadium there and made Bankwest at Parra the main 80k stadium for Sydney. And again, bulldoze Homebush.

As it stands whatever we get will be a dogs breakfast compromise based on political scare campaigns and base level idiocy.

I think another big way to look it is..

THE SA, WA AND VIC Governments are all in DEBT and got stadium upgrades..

the NSW Government which is Billions in profit.. (has a big fight on it's hands......

Yep. It's a complete con job. A good govt in surplus can easily do it without harming any other spending. Daley thinks NSW voters are idiots. Sadly he may be right.

but they are up in arms over 2 billion which will be a Government asset

Nsw have had a number of stadiums build since the 70s, new and renovated even the nrlol club grounds get up graded thanx to the tax payer!
