Not bad, the knights have $20 million in the bank and the Titans have removed the previous dickhead and replaced him.

The Titans have a huge debt and the ATO wants the Newcastle Knights shut down. Things are rosey in nRL land

260k, what a shit figure. I doubt whether the amateur suburban comp will even get that anyway. No nRL team in rl"heartland" can even get 20,000 members? Pathetic.
it was only 90K in 2008 ...... so its increased by nearly 300% in 5 years
thats a staggering growth rate ... we will be at 400K by 2017
so have gone from 15% of the VFL's total .... to 66% .. in 9 years

oh & hows this for a shit figure
..... 6.3 Million dollar loss 8-[

:^o 200k NRL memberships last year to 700K AFL memberships. Thats 28% Dave.

I bet the AFL has actually had a more additional memberships in that time than the NRL.

how Fucking dumb are you ...

the 15% figure .. our tally in 2008 up against the VFL's then
the 66% figure .... our tally up against the VFL's in 2017

the NRL will of increased their actual tally of members by over 300,000 from 2008 to 2017
the VFL by about 200,000
from 550K to 750K

& they've added 2 more clubs ... so its even less impressive

Proof that the Titans don't have any debt at all? That centre of shitness that they sold wouldn't have covered the $30 million. What happens when the Knights run out of that $20 million they get? :-k

The titans have already paid off the debt mate with the help of the NRL, they are debt free at the moment...and the knights are doing just fine, Tinkler has already agreed to deposit 20mil into the bank account and has a deadline to do so which he is well aware of. The media are just hyping the situation up, AS USUAL..we all know they have a love affair with the AFL.
Life after the 20mil? Well is that even a question the Knights will be a powerhouse in the NRL. Membership and crowd averages have been on the rise for quite some time now, if they win a premiership within the next couple of years or make the finals consistently...they will be up there with the broncos (and im not even a Knights fan).

Heres your proof:

"All of the creditors and people the football club owe money to will get paid. By the middle of December we will be debt free," May said.

thats what they paid to build it
thats what they got when they sold it knob ..... debt free instantly
they now lease it back off the new owner .. who as it turns out .. happens to be a Huge Titans fan too

And when the knights run out of the 20 million :? ... when 2022 ?
and they WILL actually recieve a bit of revenue on top of this 20 million c head .... probably another 18 million a year approx

7 Million from the NRL grant
4 Million from memberships
2 Million from gate receipts
3 Million in sponsorships
2 million from commissions on food & beveridge sales at Hunter Stadium

it'd cost them about 18 Million to run the club a year .... meaning a tiny profit .. or a tiny loss for the forseeable future with the extra 3 million they are going to get from the NRL each year for the next 5 years
meaning that extra 20 Million is going to last ... a long .. long time

maybe they'll loan some coin ... to the pennyless bogans from Poort Snotelaide ?
at a 25% interest rate of course

But Raiderdave just said that the Titans were debt free instantly once they sold their centre of shitness?

Not quite, Searle was still in charge when they sold it. The new admin were the ones that cleared the debt completely.
