Good time for a scandal actually
There's always gunna be a few in the MCC members, but plenty of fans couldn't get tix and there's only 95?
Vicbots or ecstatic fans immersed in their code? I can try and explain what atmosphere is if you like.pussycat wrote: Sat Sep 22, 2018 5:24 pmPlenty of Vicbots soaking up the atmosphere at the MCG last night![]()
Great numbers all round.The_Wookie wrote: Sun Sep 23, 2018 8:53 pmAFL attendances during 2018 Preliminary Final Weekend totalled 154,567 at the MCG and Optus Stadium. This figure was up 4.38% on the 2017 weekend at the MCG and Adelaide Oval. All up Finals crowds for the AFL now total 600,371 at an average of 75,046, up 32.3% on 2017.
To be fair, much of the AFL Finals attendance uplift can be attributed to GWS not playing a home final at Spotless Stadium, and more MCG finals.
The SANFL had its best Grand Final attendance since 1998 as 40,355 people turned up at Adelaide Oval. In the West, 25,064 attended the WAFL Grand Final at Optus Stadium. In Melbourne, the VFL was attended by 12,884 at Docklands.
NRL attendances during the 2018 Prelim Weekend totaled 71,001 at an average of 35,501 across Aami Park and Allianz Stadium. This figure is up 24.7% on the same finals last year, and played at the same venues. NRL Finals crowds total 244,758 at an average of 30,595, up 15.34%
NRL increases mostly attributable to a week 1 final at Suncorp and last nights massive crowd at Allianz Stadium.

The figure is never backed up through the gate or $ figures through other streams of revenueSportCapital wrote: Mon Nov 19, 2018 12:44 pm133%
How many more people attended AFL than NRL this year.
What a thrashing!
A real head count, not some extrapolated imaginary figure from a tiny sample.

quite amazing the luck that you have 6 games with S#&^ conditions...
160mm of rained fell on robina before and during game.
Fridays saturdays and sundays. all pouring..
sydney experienced a months rain in 48 hours.
remarkable to get 17k average for the round. and game was not played at suncorp.
here here to that.ParraEelsNRL wrote: Tue Mar 19, 2019 12:25 pmIt's not winter for one, it's the beginning of Autumn, and two, plenty of games played at grounds without cover or cover over two stands only, and three, you're an idiot.
