GoldCoast - 12,000
Manly - 12,000
Melbourne - 17,000
Newcastle – 25,000
New Zealand - 12,000
North Queensland - 12,000

260k, what a shit figure. I doubt whether the amateur suburban comp will even get that anyway. No nRL team in rl"heartland" can even get 20,000 members? Pathetic.

Essendon and Carlton would have more if the MCG was their home ground. I believe Carlton's Etihad contract expires in 2014 so it'll be interesting to see what they do there, whether they go to the MCG or stay at Etihad.

You bet. Given the amount of access one and other preferential seating at Etihad essendons general public access sells out frequently. They get far bigger crowds at the MCG.

run into the ground

like 9 VFL clubs are now ?
a few of them wouldn't mind a tinkler coming along to bail them out ... but alas , further down the sh.it clogged S bend they go
There have been many times an AFL team has been in financial trouble. But none have needed a billionaire to save them. All have been resurrected by members and financial strategy. This will happen again and again.

Face it. The AFL have more followers and these people are prepared to save their club. The NRL rely on saviours because the fans just aren't interested unless its on TV

Naaa not a Billionaire because no Billionaire would waste money on vFL, but there have been a few Millionaires run vFL clubs aye Xbendsthetruth?

Swines and Brions don't ring a bell?

Hypocrite.

I bet the AFL has actually had a more additional memberships in that time than the NRL.

I don't give a fuck when the last time was because you are being a hypocrite. You go on about this shit all the time even though your own code failed multiple times with private owners because the Vfl has no idea how to work with others.

Yes the NRL is doing well with private owners and so is the SL.

Just because your code fails at everything any other sport tries doesn't mean the people involved in RL are as stupid.
