Anything but steady actually. They are nothing but a liability for whoever owns them who throw Millions down the drain just keeping the ailing club afloat. This is why after all these years News Limited has finally given up. They can't crack the Victorian market. Melbourne just doesn't care for them and that poor man's pommy sport.
You better hope they never leave the top 8.

Look at their early to mid 2000's crowds when they were not performing. Crowds of 8,000 were the norm. The fact that after 6 grand finals they still can't average over 15,000 in a world class stadium is pathetic. Pack your bags Storm, you're not wanted in Melbourne.

the fact the swines got 60K when they weren't premiers
&
25K when they are
would indicate exactly the same ..............

But, but, but, I keep hearing our code is lopsided?
Decent crowd for the Suns last night.

I'm just poking your own stupid logic back at you Dave. If you think fluctuations in crowd averages, and even individual games, indicates decline in interest your dumber than we all think you are.
NRL dying in QLD, NZ, and failing in Melbourne. Is there anywhere other than Sydney where the game is popular?

If you think fluctuations in crowd averages, and even individual games,

you call a 66% drop a fluctuation ?
blimey
I'd hate to see a decline then

LOL @ a throwballer talking about non heartland crowds. Here Dave, let's lower the bar to make it sporting. How many regular season crowds over 25k did the nRL get in 2012 outside their heartland?
I'll give you a clue; it's less than the 8 the AFL had.
Heres another easy one for ya. How many people attended nRL games outside your heartland in 2012? Was it less than the 767,749 that went to see the Lions, Suns, Giants and Swans? How much less? You go on and get the figure so the rest of us can have a good laugh.
I was trying to think of an analogy of the argument you're attempting to make, and then it came to me:
It's like a cripple trying to ridicule Usain Bolt for running the 100m slightly slower than his previous race.
you are a fuckstick
your code is failing
it cannot retain an ounce of decent interest outside the ********* states in the sth
it is heading down the s bend
the 767K outside yr heartland for 4 sides in 2012
it was 750K.. with 2 sides .. just a few years ago
that equals
decline

2010 (the last year before the Suns + Giants): 666,689. Brisbane averaged 29k, Sydney averaged 30k.
That's an increase of over 100k people.
Have you worked out how many people attended nRL games outside your heartland in 2012 yet? We're waiting and poised to laugh. Here's the website:
http://stats.rleague.com/rl/crowds/2012.html
Be a good boy and fetch the figure. The numbers re quite small, you may not even need a calculator to add them.
