Concurrent ratings for 13/04 Sat 730pm NRL PTV = 464k atm Nz Sky to add

464k concurrent ratings on Fox and with a team out of NZ playing in one of those games.........over 550k watching NRL at 730pm in Aus and 930pm in NZ.

Got anything concurrent on Fox that even gets over 400k?????

Fucken Smashed................
Smashed......we had games on FTA as well, and crucified the nRL. Our audience was 1.1m, yours 550k. Yep, smashed

I guess you missed how the AFLs Sunday afternoon games at 4pm beat the NRLs afternoon game at 4pm by over 600k, despite including your precious regionals

What about how Sunday afternoon games at 4pm achieved 1.389m audience, for non prime time...

The NRL didnt even get 700k total audience

What are you on about XmanYou had two FTA matches on Sunday one got about 350 and one got about 850 and neither was shown on delay.

No, the crows power game was only shown to one city of 1.2m people. Both games werent shown to the full audience.

The NRL could have two FTA games on Sunday too. But they choose to show 2 games on Friday night to maximise ratings. In doing so they often take a narrow win over the AFL by maybe 100-200k. But then they lose on Sunday by a massive margin of 400-600k.

Oh and dont complain to me about your delayed game on Sunday. That was the deal the NRL signed. I don't see you complaining about the NRLs longer season or more games shown in isolation, or more games shown in prime time.

Not quite. We had 3 games on at the same time on sunday and we totaled 563k on PTV despite 2 of these being on FTA into their primary markets. Can I say it

563 smashes your 464 and your games were in prime time as well. Smashed.

And the NRL games were shown in isolation, where as ours were concurrent. A smashing indeed

This is the metro ratings for NRL on friday the 30th of march with total of 715k.

MediaweekAUS: Fri TV #NRL #NRLBRIMEL Nine 622k (Syd 330k Bri 292k) GEM 93k (Mel 69k Ade 6k Per 18k)

Assuming 2/3rds rule thats a regional audience of 477k.

Yet the regional tam results are now out and they show a result of 373k :-k

So can we just have the total ratings (pay and fta) for each code. One figure for each please.

Not sure what the NRL is at the moment.

The AFL has had for FTA metro only and PTV about 13.1 million viewers so far this year.

If what you are saying about the increase to the brisbane catchment for Oztam boxes is true, then this might be the trend of the year for NRL. How many other matches has this happened to so far this year.

Not that I've noticed. But one thing is that this match had higher than normal ratings in Vic, wa, sa which doesn't translate to higher regionals, certainly not at a ratio of 2/3rds. Maybe the factor should only apply to the ch9 ratings and not gem

So Pussy do you change your ratings for the Brisbane/Melbourne game now? It would drop quite a bit on your list now that it has rated 1.088 milion nationally rather then close to 1.2 million.

I just checked the top placed game on your list pussy and you have it down as 1.56 million or something like that. When I checked the rating for the opening game according to a source was 1.37 milion. Was this a mistake on your part? Even with NZ ratings it would only be 1.43 million. The second place on the list also looks to big. It got :

Mediaweek‏@MediaweekAUS8 Mar
Fri TV #NRL #NRLBRIMAN Nine 740k (Syd 420k Bri 320k) GEM 47k (Mel 35k Ade 5k Per 7k)

but failed to make the top 20 regional tam with number 20 being 478K. So the maximum it could be would be 1.265 million (thats with 478 regional) but you have it down as 1.33 million. It is clear that the X0.67 isnt working for NRL this year.

I used the numbers given by Beau for the first 3 weeks for the metro totals (taken from oztam ).

metro = 851 + Regionals (.66) + 2nd Channel 45 + 2nd channel regionals (.33) + 61 ? on PTV (sky).

I have used the same for yours only regionals are reversed and Fox not Sky is used for PTV.

As far as regionals go, I think there pretty right, one wont change that. I checked out the last 3 on Free TV and there pretty right 67% - 58% - 73% . Its just depends what teams are playing that week.

Saturday’s Round six game between the Rabbitohs and the Storm posted the highest audience of any program on subscription television in 2013 attracting an audience of 379,319.

Fans are also engaging on-line with a 38% lift in number of unique viewers through nrl.com, further lifts of 24% across the club network and a 67% increase in people using mobile technology.

The Roosters and the Rabbitohs attracting the highest number of Sydney viewers recorded for a season opener since the Oz-Tam panel was introduced in 2001.

What happening with the AFL?

AFL crowds are up 19% on last years average attendance, but i dont expect them to stay up this high through out the season. Probably be up about 8% by the end of the year.

I expect the ratings to also be higher although im not sure by how much. Last year the ratings for the Suns and GWS games begain to fade during the year. I expect the ratings for those 2 teams to maintain their higher ratings to some extent through out the year.
