I've heard the AFL women's is a full competition now with all teams having a women's side?

To boldly go where no sport has gone before
Seriously though - it is typical of the AFL. Look at their expansion thus far in the men's comp - could have played it easy as she goes but took on the bold and dangerous - yet rewarding if successful - path.

I wouldn’t say it is simple. The NRL took a decidedly different root with a reasoned arguement as to why whereas AFL took a different root to expand the comp quickly. Time will tell which was better. The AFL also expanding into western Sydney was a gutsy move too. I use this to illustrate the AFL move with women’s comp was typical of there willingness to take on high risk strategies. They could have played it safe, put another team in Adelaide for AFL for instance but they choose the tough route. Same with wonen”s comp I feel.

sorry i will reframe my point, as it was poorly written..
it is easy to tell what AFL are doing...
AFL are going hard out early, to capitalise on markets
by making it the premier women's comp in Australia.
on many different aspects,

ARL Commission boss Peter V’landys has taken a swipe at AFLW, saying he’s “not surprised” the NRLW TV ratings dwarfed its rivals.

Hmmmm............the NRL girls more than double the poor hapless fumbling girls. It's not surprising really. And I actually feel sorry for the fumbling girls but they really are playing a lame stumbling, bumbling mess of a game. Whilst the NRL girls play a game of skill, strength, speed, strategy, execution and beauty!! There's no comparison really.

our men slaughter their fumbling men on TV , so why wouldn't our girls do the same to their fumbling bumbling unco girls
the difference
& it is stark , is our girls skills are impressive & the deft touch some of these women have is remarkable
Im watching a game in Wollongong as we speak in torrential , monsoonal rain & it is still pretty darn entertaining , quite the spectacle .
RL stomps on everything on TV for women
Awful
Cricket
Yawnion
Soccer
it is Australias most watched sport.

what makes it more intriguing is the amount of promotion that is given by the AFL
the non stop expansion year on year and money pumped into it.
