update - the weekends highest rating matches.
NRL Live = 1403 + NZ
St K v Rich. = 1195
Pies v Blues = 1068
No numbers for Sun NRL match.
* even with two matches combined the AFL's 'Sat Night' didnt rate high enough to be included.

Hardly surprising. These two games involved last years 18th, 17th and 16th teams. Surely your not comparing the suns and Melbourne to the broncos and bulldogs.
Saturday never rates as good as Friday for any program either. Just look at the news.
Here's Friday
NINE NEWS Network 9 1,074,000 295,000 395,000 209,000 90,000 85,000
SEVEN NEWS Network 7 997,000 238,000 256,000 250,000 119,000 133,000
And Saturday
NINE NEWS SATURDAY Network 9 861,000 209,000 340,000 187,000 66,000 59,000
SEVEN NEWS – SAT Network 7 830,000 197,000 259,000 221,000 0 153,000

Your right, you could hardly compare them. 2 live matches combined
or the 'Saturday arvo' match where 3 games are combined

What about your 'Saturday arvo' match, where 3 matches are combined, did'nt that involved last year's premiers?

Are you seriously suggesting a single AFL FTA game on Saturday arvo involving 1st v 2nd bottom ( and on 7mate to their audience) would compete with 2 prime time games?

No numbers for Sun NRL match
Sat arvo AFL matchs numbers were too low to bother counting.
Finally some truth, well done

Finally some truth........
Those numbers linked is just 1 state live for each match
So
Live St K v Rich. = 1195
Live Sat Night AFL = 724 +Fox
Live Pies v Blues = 1068
Live into NSW,
delayed full of adds into QLD C'bry v Manly = 1015 + NZ
Live into QLD,
delayed full of adds into NSW Broncos v Titans =1020 + NZ
No numbers for Sun NRL match
Now that is the truth.
Even more truth is 1.4m+ were watching live NRL at 730pm Friday night............. =D> =D> =D>

Syd Swans v Suns
Lions v Crows
Bulldogs v Freemantle
If 'Saturday Arvo Match' isn't a composite of those 3 matches than where are the results for these matches? And what is 'Saturday Arvo Match' ?
We've already established that 'Saturday night match' was a composite of ,Ess v Melb & Port V GWS. So what is Saturdays 'Arvo Match' ??????? ??????????????????????????????????????

Wow 3 matches combined and live into those states and cannot make the list, yet the NRL with 1 live broadcasts each into NSW, QLD and can hit 1.4m+ viewers at 730pm on a friday night...... =D> =D> =D> =D>

Saturday afternoon, the ratings dead zone that the nRL abandoned yeah? Even though fans did not like this, we all know the nRL don't care about them. It's sad how the nRL need to combine ratings from different matches on Friday night just to win, but I guess we all saw how low Brisbane's ratings were when the Broncos weren't playing on Friday night a few weeks ago when they had just one match on.

No, not live into Melbourne
Add to that, as Stewie said, ratings for Saturday arvo are tiny compared to prime time, especially Fridays
The AFL easily eclipsed the NRL on Saturday both in FTA and foxtel.

I have no idea. Both the suns and lions played so I don't know who was shown to Brisbane.
Saturday arvo will never reach great heights no matter who plays. Even the NRLs foxtel ratings are well down on Saturday arvo.

Both NRL matches on, PTV , sat 5.30 - 7.30 time slots average almost 300. our highest rating slot would be Sat.

I'll give you a hint. Swans, Suns,Lions, Crows, Bulldogs & Freemantle played the Saturday 'arvo' match. And the Saturday 'arvo' match the week before was a combination of Giants, Swans, Bulldogs and lions
