enjoy that silver.....

BTW you comparing our Friday night ratings to your concurrent Fox coverage ratings is a big cop out and shows how desperate you are now that the NRL is handing the VFL a ass whooping in the ratings on FTA and Fox.

Enjoy that silver buddy...........
where exactly am I comparing Friday ratings results to Saturday? :-k

And you're the only one being a hypocrite! I'm fine including concurrent ratings for both codes. You're only fine if it includes your own code! [-(

NRL 2 live games for first 4 rounds = 8 + 1 Live game on friday round 5 = 9 live games in 2013.

AFL 4 Live games each round, after 2 rounds = 8 live games.

Comprende dopey...........

Oh and the 855k was metro for Friday first live broadcast around the country...........1.4m at the least and my predictions is more like 1.5 when NZ sky added.

NRL winning.... =D> =D> =D>

Melbourne only get 3 live games a weekend. 2 of the AFLs live games per round are in the afternoon, a time that rates about half prime time. They are all shown against another game except Friday night and the occasional Thursday. I'm not sure how a concurrently shown game on its own will ever make the Highest rating list. But don't let minor issues like that get in the way of your circle jerk

But of course most of your single games don't make the top list either  you add them together yet claim theyre a single game. Dodgy indeed

Example: Friday 5th April
Broncos v GC, 362k in Brisbane, 217k in Sydney, Gem 45k, Total = 624k

Bulldogs v sea eagles, 447k in Sydney, 128k in Brisbane, GEM 44k Total = 621k

:-k :-k 8-[ can you point out the game that rated 1.4m?

I got no issue with you claiming Friday night broadcast round 5 got 1.4 million. But you can't say that the bulldogs vs sea eagles got 1.4 million. It takes away from the fact that the broncos vs titans contributed to this total. I'm not trying to put down RL I'm just pointing out that a single game didn't get this rating.

Overall RL got 2 million for Friday night footy ( yes it is two matches) but that is still a great effort.

Xman you live in a fantasy word. Your Opening week You had two FTA matches, and around 3 or 4 the following week. All matches were Shown live and at most one may have overlapped a pay TV match(slightly). And your best was under 1.2m.

In our opening week we had 1 fully live game(1.3m), 1 half live, half delayed (1.5m) and one fully delayed (1m). Your mob would be salivating at the very thought of such numbers

What you say is correct, but if where comparing games apples need to be compared with apples - live games need to be compared with live games .not live/delayed 2.5hours games.

But it aint apples with apples. It never has been. The exact thing youre complaining about was done by the AFL up until this year. Melbourne got the game live, Adelaide on delay, Perth on 2 hrs delay

For this year:
- Perth have been getting live telecasts on 7mate and their ratings have almost halved.

- On Friday their telecast started at 4.30pm and finished at 7.30pm, so for them this is an afternoon match. This is on a work day. Who are their target audience? School children

- the NRL combine ratings from 2 games, one involving the broncos, 1 from 2 Sydney teams. Great. Well done channel nine for targeting a single game time slot for the entire weekend. Then they bomb out on the other 2FTA games. The AFL dont do this. They aren't trying to beat ch9 on one game. They're trying to get good ratings and attendance for the entire weekend.

So don't give me this apples v apples BS

If you demand joining concurrent ratings do it for both codes, not just your own.

Ratings depend on the match too. Our highest arent usually the opening rounds. ANZAC day rated over 1.7m last year. FN games involving Perth and Melbourne teams rated well. This is similar to your broncos v Sydney games which rate well.

The other thing is the NRL can essentially target 8m heartland viewers in a single game. Ie broncos v Sydney team, hence the broncos are on FN almost every weekend.

The AFL cannot do this because they have teams and heartland in 3 states.

The difference is the AFL have matches of interest over the entire weekend. The NRL target FN but bomb out for the rest. The AFL more than catch up over the weekend as seen by the ratings last year.

1 live game 1 delayed full of adds and over 2million ratings. =D> =D>

As you can see Pies agrees with me. You had 2 games involving 3 cities with 2mil viewers. We had 1 game involving 1 city with 1.15mil viewers
