What are the actual figures - to be even or close I think still is good. I do think that it says more about the titans - who struggle for support with the RL people, than it may do about the Suns. Titans, if they could capture a very large RL community - well, it shouldn't even be a question.
Just looked up crowds for CBUS and People's First for 2024 on AuStadiums
People's First : 16887
CBUS : 15100
So pretty close really.

To be close when ..... the Thuns are having their best season ever & the Titans one of their worst shows there is no battle on the GC & RL people are more then fine with the Titans as well
5000 kids in for free for the Thuns last game has 9500 paying people over 16, while the Titans had nearly 17,000 at theirs
they're the actual figures

1. It is Rugby League heartland - Suns should be not even close let alone leading.
2. Suns may be having a better season but the bar is low and have been so disappointing and inconsistent - have lost games they should have won and expectation was to be firmly in the 8 by now. I know I am disappointed and the commentary is reflecting this both on socials and in media in general.
3. Titans struggle for a few reasons - It's the Gold Coast - a sporting waste land for a long time. Also it appears, unlike with the Suns and AFL, that NRL people have their team and follow that and don't adopt a second team per se - like the Titans. Plus, you have that generational thing where kids follow their parent's team - whereas many new people to the game of AFL on the Gold Coast don't have a team.
But the big thing is, there can be excuses and "but buts" re: crowds - and there usually is one way or another - but just looking at the figures, both teams are about the same when playing on the Gold Coast - and both reasonable I would say which is a win for Titans and Suns which is good for everyone - and my wish is that both teams do well and become better supported. Wouldn't a double header be good if they could configure that somehow.

1. They're not close ... reverse their seasons , Thuns average 7K , Titans 20K
2. Their best season ever , seriously what other measure is there
3. The Titans aren't struggling off the field , drawing nearly 17,000 against a team running last proves this , they'll sellout their game ( 27,000) against the Broncos in a few weeks & the Broncs are struggling as well . They're on the rise & leaving the Thuns in their dust
battle on the GC ?
what battle ?

You think the Titans and Suns crowds aren't close?
People's First : 16887
CBUS : 15100
For RL heartland - and if you state the Titans are as popular as you say on the Gold Coast - wouldn't they have much larger crowds?
anyway - I will leave it here. I do like your passion though for RL and NRL - you are very dedicated and loyal- should be more supporters this way maybe

. Go Titans and Go Suns on the GC

Thuns undefeated at home , Titans lost their first 4 at home & have only 6 wins for the entire season
reverse that record
Thuns 7,000 average
Titans 20,000
battle
what battle ?

Titans Legion continues to grow with record membership in '24
After a pretty pathetic season and 0 and 7 start
Ahead of the tenth-annual Thank You Member Round this weekend, the club has seen 16,047 members join the Legion this season - breaking last year's record of 13,162

That's a great effort. Hopefully it grows even more next season. I do wish they would list the membership by type as would be good to know who has a year membership compared to say a three game membership.

pretty good for a team that started the year 0-7
16K members
16K average crowds
what would happen if they were back to their 2010 form & a top 4 side
might not have to wait too long
