Time to update your list Pussycat, if this continuous i cant see any AFL games in the regular season making the top 10 on FTA...
At least get the terminology correct this was not a game it was a broadcast made up of two NRL games.
Yes but at 730pm around the nation was there not 1.4m as you put it watching NRL?

I rest my case... =P~
Quite true but the NRL had to use 1/4th of its entire broadcast to get these results, while the AFL used 1/9th. I rest my case.

Fri TV: #NRL late Nine 345k (Syd 217k Bri 128k) GEM 44k (Mel 31k Ade 7k Per 6k)

So the GC v Broncos rated 623k

Manly v bulldogs rated 619k

StKilda v Richmond rated 681k plus foxtel
Wow look at that.....

Fri TV #NRL Live: Nine 809k (Syd 447k Bri 362k)

Wow smashed.... =D> =D> =D>

Both games rating 1m again even with the delayed coverage of the second game.... =D> =D> =D>

So at 730pm in aus 809k metro were watching NRL which = about 1.3m again............fuck good luck catching that one AFL...
The nrl use the tactic of targeting the brisbane market with one game and Sydney with another, and combine the ratings to achieve 1.3m. So two of their 3 FTA games for 2 hours of 1.3m ratings and 700k for the other.....No problems  4 hours NRL averaging 1m from 2 games while the AFL get 1.1-1.2m over 3 hours from 1 of their 4 FTa games.

This tactic of combining games in the one telecast may help them win some Friday night time slots but they actually lose in the end because the AFL get easy FTA victories on Saturday afternoon, evening and Sunday. :D
Maybe you should write a letter to CH 9, outlining there mistake! Also, to CH7 & 10 who were desperate to get us

Two games rating 1m each vs 1 game rating 1.15m is a loss for the NRL Pussycat.

But I suppose the alternative is that we start adding all ratings for concurrent games broadcast at the same time. I'm not sure you want to go down that track since AFL Saturday night rates 900k on FTA nationally and 400k on payTV. That aint gonna leave much on the leader board for the NRL

The afls Saturday arvo figures comfortably beat the NRLs Sunday figures last week, plus even better when combine with foxtel figures

The evening figures are also combined with payTV figures. Add to that every program rates less on Saturday than Friday.

How'd the NRL go on Saturday....oh wait, thats right, they play two games on Friday to get maximum ratings on one night. But then get annihilated on Saturday :D
