Round 1 total 5,109,000 viewers. Metro and PTV
Got some of those a bit wrong. out by 600K
Under estimated the fox ratings and over estimated the FTA ratings. Perth was a major reason why I was out and also the Swans V GWS game had quite a few less watching on mate then I thought. Hopefully the numbers in Sydney for Swans games fairly quickly get back up to the 100K + they were rating for the second half of 2012.

Yeah with round one usually being the top rating week of the year bar finals.
You boys have got no chance on topping Pussycats ratings lists. it is obvious to see already.

Round yes, and it was. Record round for the AFL. But the biggest AFL games are Friday night, and we've only had 1

AFL Acting General Manager Broadcasting, Scheduling and Legal Affairs Simon Lethlean said Wednesday’s match at the MCG drew a total average audience of 1.726 million viewers nationally, and comfortably eclipsed the previous two record marks of 1.643 million set in the 2006 Anzac Day match and 1.571 million set in the 2007 Anzac Day match

Just imagine if the NRL simulcast all their games on fox as well. It would of been a 1.7-1.8 million viewers.

What are you basing that BS on?
Foxtel ratings rob FTA ratings resulting in a similar total to non-simulcast ratings.
They also result in less attendance, something the NRL surely cannot afford.
