and alot of them AFL games were declared a sell out. (but way way under) Lions do the same

I noticed they used the term “all tickets exhausted” this year rather than sellout - still not bad numbers for the AFL at the Gabba. Do you know if it’s the same capacity for cricket and Lions - as I know they configure it differently in some stadiums ? I looked and it eeems to be the same but thought I recalled somewhere that corporate areas in the stands can reduce capacity?
not totally sure, i always assumed it is always less for cricket due to sight screens both ends
it is & they're clearly displayed during coverage .....you CANNOT sit in the seats displayed as you can put off the batsmen & obviously can't in the ones under cloths & tarps etc

they have to come off a grounds capacity
the SCG's total capacity is 48,000...

so the 3 crowds during this test have been fudged , or .. the SCG trust broke OH&S laws & allowed more members or their guests in then they were allowed to
these people don't get a seat , they stand in stairwells & other areas

Not too bad - especially when you consider population. Per capita it would have to be nudging top spot.

Yes - percentages are often misleading for this very reason. If I have one person come to a my show on a Friday and next week two people come I could brag that I have had a 100 percent increase in attendance. Context is everything.

i mean far be it for me to point out the irony of a fumbler talking down % & calling them misleading when skinnywhitedorkball has created an entire industry on misleading figures & down right lies to feed their dumb as pig shit fans into believing their sport is growing hugely ....

context is indeed everything

Fine lets call a spade a spade. Lets roll on this the way league fans do in the ratings threads.

Your crowds are fucking laughable compared to the AFL. AFL shits all over them. And its not even close. Im sure you are growing...like GWS crowds are growing. Its real easy when fuck all people attended in the first place.

Congratulations though youve got to the level we were at in the fucking 70s. Jolly well done.

I mean AFL attendance is greater than Superleague, the championship and the NRL combined. So get back in your fucking tv ratings box and come out when you can match it with the big boys.
