one hyped up ... heavily padded crowd with Victorian visitors will not save the suns from being beaten ... again .. by the Titans in all metrics in 2024
I think there were plenty of Souths supporters at the Titans too - judging by the cheering when South's scored and shots of the crowd (Youtube has it up to watch if you want to have a look).

Both clubs generally have a lot of opposition supporters - I was quite impressed with the atmosphere and crowd at the Suns' game on the weekend - felt more like I was at a game in Victoria where equal amounts of support for both teams- hasn't happened often for the Suns and certainly not against a club like Richmond.

If the suns keep winning I'd take the bet on the Suns getting bigger numbers than the Titans. Usually is pretty close and last time I bet a poster on here I won with the Suns getting the bigger crowd at their respective home grounds on the Gold Coast.
what were souths supporters doing at the Titans game ? :hmm:
    :(/ :(/ :(/
there was a healthy contingent of Dragons supporters :(/

but nothing like the turnout of insterstate visitors for the suns.
The Titans defs have more support on the GC
Oh - lol - yes, got the team wrong - they are a little like the old south melbourne numbers.

Living on the coast, it is well reported and titans report it as an issue (same as Suns) of often having more opposition supporters. I can tell you first hand there were plenty of Suns supporters at the game. Richmond supporters pretty quite too I guess.

Do the Titans have more support on the GC than the Suns? I'm not too sure about that. Does the NRL have more support than the AFL - definitely. Titans have been on the nose for a few years - but getting over that - they ripped a lot of locals off and lots of trade people lost lots of money. But they are steadying that ship for sure. I personally think whoever is winning (lets hope they both can be winning) gets the crowds.

the dead last , 17th placed .... Gold Coast titans attracted the largest crowd on the GC for 2024 yesterday
22,702
Against the Warriors , lots of kiwis in the crowd yes , but plenty of Tit fans as well .. heaps.
& they turned a performance they will long be remembered

66-6
Ive never seen anything like that from Titans before in their 17 year history , & while the Wahs were as inept as ive seen them in years , the Tits were exceptional.

Talk of the town again , running last ( well after yesterday they're not ) & they have grabbed the attention of the GC ... all other side shows not getting a look in

Surprisingly good crowd especially considering their opponents, unless there are a hell of a lot kiwis on the coast.
Still behind the Suns on average.
And a very good win.

Titans were last going in ... If the Thuns were last they'd have an average half that of the Titans atm

Suns have some blockbusters coming up too so they should smash the Titans on average crowds at their respective grounds (cubs and people”s first).

And yes, for who ever asked - their are many many Kiwis on the Gold Coast and in logan who do follow the warriors.

yea thats a smashing it isnt it     :(/ :(/

plus the Tits still have the Broncos to play at home , will sellout & be the biggest crowd on the GC as per usual

so fumblers
how are the Tits almost on par with the Thuns for average crowds ?????? how :hmm:

Titans have the massive advantage of being in a RL state.
Take this away and the Suns are killing the opposition by a big margin.

Sun's should win the crowd figures this year as they are performing well on the field despite a few losses.

tell me , how exactly do you take away the advantage that QLD is a RL state exactly ? :hmm:
    :(/ :(/ :(/

your sport is the one that claimed it was on the verge of taking QLD over
the halfwit fumbler mongs on here claimed the GC was tanktop & giggles territory ............. not us

it seems these boasts were not only a bit premature .. but also utterly ludicrous as well & the last placed Titans & RL in general is so far ahead of the noodle armed unco clowns from Vicdopia on the GC .. its not funny

Port Adelaide are not a very big drawing team. So I would say out of the 14,583 there have been 12,000 Suns supporters.

The Eels are a big drawing team & would have had, at least, half the crowd support. So that means only around 8,000 Titans supports would have been at the ground.

Sound like the Suns are more popular to me.

Parra are equal last
2000 of their fans there at best , 14500 there for the Titties

Titans bottom 4
Thuns in the hunt for finals

Titans still more popular .... waaaayyyyy ... more popular

also in the AFL it is KIDS go Free in July..

love your estimations

Titans lost 7 straight games to start the year. and only now coming good.

SUNS having the best season till date and undefeated at HOME and we are in the last quarter of the season till finals.

and still did not beat the Titans.

I will add i think the crowd of 14.5k against PORT was pretty Good

the Thuns
about 10,000

sounds about right

Trust me LeRoy there are many suns supporters disillusioned with the Suns - they have played hot and cold this season - the expectation was finals as a pass mark and that’s looking unlikely.

The suns have had good crowds. Why is there always an excuses and but buts when Suns are doing okay in something. I think when people lost all the but buts (positio on ladder, weather, opposition ) they were forgetting one big thing / the Gold Coast, as you know and say, is clearly Rl heartland - it’s not like it’s in neutral territory. To be getting that sort of crowd in a rl dominated are is pretty good 1 and to be beating the local rl team re crowd numbers in phenomenal.

but
they're.. NOT ..beating the Titans for crowds or anything else for that matter .... even with their best season onfield in their history , unbeaten at home & the Titans are .. well.. pretty much nowhere
they are waaaayyyy behind

theres no battle then eh ? :-k

thought so
