The new rule means we will never be able to comment how the AFL rates on 7mate in Sydney, Brisbane and (from this week) Perth, which gets Friday night match live on the digital channel. Only having combined figures for Melbourne and Adelaide on the main channel (plus Perth on Saturday, Sunday and holiday Monday) does not tell the full picture of AFL ratings

Notice we aren't the only site having issues posting ratings figures. Now try using your brains, this isnt a conspiracy

Well lookie here pussycat, Ch9 have begun coding home and away NRL games!
One of Pussycats crazy excuses just comes crashing to the ground.
So now we truly have ratings for the AFLs 140minute game compared to the NRLs 90 minute game....and the AFL still wins

=D> =D>
How does the AFL still win, your FTA game rated 950k......
NRL opener rated 1.37m.... =D> =D>
Xman are you okay...

Compare night for night, not one game this week to another one weeks ago.
The NRL opener didnt have any sporting opposition. Now both sports are on at the same time its a reasonable comparison.

Very worrying times for D, indeed!
Opening night,
no pre or post match segments to lower his match,
Bolstered by 1.2m caviar race viewed during the match,
and total ratings not even making 1200,
Worrying times indeed for D. [-o<

Yeah, real worried when it achieved more ratings than last years opener despite the game being shown on 7mate into Perth and half the game shown after 10pm into Melbourne

The Black caviar race did not outdo the NRL opener let alone the AFL opener which was a mile off....nice little ploy from the AFL to boost ratings but turned out to be a utter failure in the end.... =D> =D>

Yeah, the AFL scheduled their opener to coincide with black caviars race when they made their fixture LAST DECEMBER.....

Im here,
And I was very interested to read your link especially this part.
The NRL GF got 66k in Tas and 38k in regional WA. Add that to the consolidated metro + 4 eastern state regionals for a grand total of 3.979 mill.
It does sound like the NRL are using that method, until daylight savings comes in.
What was the previous discussion on why ratings digial numbers are banned from being broadcast? I take it this is why we don't have last years? As someone said, if there posted on twitter how can they stop you?

Hopefully this thursday's game gets the big ratings for the AFL. 1 million + FTA + 300K fox (probabaly wont quite break those figures but should be close). The key is to break 5 milion FTA + foxtel ratings for round 1 and get more then last years round 1 total.
