It is understood Channel Ten made a serious bid of $800 million for four games, all in prime time, nationally, on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights. This must have been a tempting offer, given Ten would be scheduling one more free-to-air game around Australia.

Presumably, any add-on by Fox Sports for the four games it would cover was less than $225million, otherwise it would have equalled the combined Nine/Fox Sports deal of $1.025 billion and been an attractive proposition because of superior national coverage

It as understood that Channel 10 made a serious offer = rumor.
They wernt involved in the negotiations so obviously they cant say with 100% accuracy, But they were reporting on what happend, one of several media sources. You refer to it as a rumour if you like, I guess some rumours carry a bit more weight then others.
Fair point.

& back to your post
full data has been released , otherwise the article would have mentioned it hadn't

who said the NRL won

Rugby League won ... for the fourth year in a row
this article mentions the NRL's tally (113.9 million ) .. & there have been countless posts & links to the ratings for RL's rep games as well
they total 17 million

end of .. on who won
Many arguments have been settled by this article. AFL bigger than nrl on a weekly basis fact. Massive growth for AFL due to excellent deal fact. Minimal growth for nrl to stay the same for next give years fact. The cumulative numbers will come out in time but for now your butt must be screaming Dave lol. Won't be hard to work out the raiders free to air average next year. Lol
poor old poohpuss ..... struggling like all the fumblers are
you're right
its settled plenty this article

with 11 extra games this year , simulcast games & extra regional areas counted .... yous still got done by RL
No Dave massive growth, bigger week to week audience, a much further reach, control of our draw so as to not shaft the smaller clubs so gyngell can drive a Merc, expansion and massive live audiences pretty much assure we've got you covered.

Your showing your butbutbutthurt over this one Dave. How many times do you need to post NRL wins again with no evidence. Even if you dont believe that the full data has been released. You need to wait for some evidence and quote it when it comes in to claim victory. At least the AFL boys have got some evidence to back them up.

No, channel 7 code their game differently, as every network has done for a few years.

Are you suggesting AD told the voice, masterchef, the x factror, etc to also code their programs differently? Are you suggesting AD controls ch7?

This is one of your most Idiotic comments ever!

Youre not sure? FMD! the AFL beat the NRL clear as day as stated by an independant source. Then in a desperate attempt to save face you claim that RL won by including every RL game but without even checking if every AFL game was counted! #-o #-o #-o

As for including toyota cup etc, we could include the SANFL, WAFL, VFL, all match replays on Fox footy.

Then for good measure all programs on fox footy, all shows on ch7,9,10

Youre losing in every comparison Dave!

No, Ch7 code their programs to maximise ratings, as do ch9 and ch10  Since when does a sporting body control a TV network??? #-o #-o #-o

The AFL is coded by ch7 yet the game section still goes for well over 2 hrs which is LONGER than the entire length of the NRL's telecast. Therefore the NRL gains a natural advantage by having a shorter program which gives an average closer to their peak.

Your desperation knows no ends!
