And you were told you had no idea about the eels because frankly, nobody does, yet you seem to think you have all the answers.
FFS the Leagues Club runs them, they are the only club left in the NRL still run by the Leagues club because they handed the RL club over during the war so the club would have the money to fight both rupes and kerry with their own money while all the others were taking money hand over fist from whatever mason was throwing the most.
It's still this way to this day and that is why it is all blowing up now because the NRL can't seem to control anyone that has anything to do with the club, they want to privatise it to get rid of the factions, good luck.
You have people from bikie gangs to CEO's of Banks wanting to take over the joint, old Pollies sticking their nose in wanting a piece. You as usual have no idea.
You seem to think Parramatta is some small suburb of Sydney when in fact you stupid drongo, it's Sydney's SECOND CITY and some say the real power base of the joint, well it soon will be anyway, but you wouldn't know. That's why people want control, they know what is available out there and the potential especially for a big brand in the West, yet you know better.
A fan base already in place being one of the more popular, a brand new 30,000+ capacity stadium on its way starting as soon as this season finishes, a 10 minute ride away to the biggest ground in NSW that will soon also be reconfigured, yet you know better.
There is a reason all this stuff is happening to the eels right now, you are too stupid to actually see it because you can not see anything good in anything not AFL related.
As was stated many many times, the eels have always been loaded, it's just the Leagues club have always taken the profits because they run the joint or have done for 20 years now.

I think we all agree AFL gets better crowds and nrl would love AFL type crowds. I think 14000 is quite good for rl in melbourne. The crowd for tassie was poor indeed however lets not look to anomolies to make points. 12000 for titans ispretty poor given the strong culture of rl on gc and population owever such crowds unfortunetely are not uncommon.

No not taking over. Dont confuse the titans struggling with rl struggling. Rl still by far most popular, just that a lot follow other clubs other than titans. AFL doing well and have a long history in the area but rl still the main sport. To be honest, surfing and the beach are far more dominate.

I also said 14000 was good for storm.. Up there with averages for sydney crowds for rl. Tassie isdefinetely AFL. They do not even have a season comp for rl... But 11000 for hawks v suns was not great by AFL standards.

Are you seriously claiming that Tassie isn't an AFL state??? They were playing against GC a pretty disappointing team this year, while I agree crowds were well down this weekend (it is the coldest it's been in a long while and the AFL when setting the draw would have thought those teams would be in a different position). But you can't seriously claim Tassie is up for grabs off the back of one crowd when they have had sell outs this year?
