Ummm that seems to be the opposite of what is actually happening, the mining industry has been slowing right down for years now, yet the growth in Rugby League in WA still continues.
lol didnt the NRLOL just get a crap turn out in WA? like the NRLOL in Melbourne is hasnt gone anywhere in years, but still have your self convinced that its growing, while the AFL has gone nowhere in NSW & QLD

ps mining in WA is still craking along as all minerals, iron ore, gold, etc are still being exported at record amounts, its expansion & construction that has slowed :thumbleft:

How can the two biggest memberships in Sydney - Souths 34k+ and Paramatta 22k+ only get 11860 last night at Sydney's largest stadium on a stand alone Friday night??
The Swans will get at least double if not triple! That's just embarrassing!

it was at one of the club grounds as well! so no doubt as history suggests the st George drag queens officials put a few extra k on to the final figure

19k for swans
I know its raining..
But see how rain reduces the attendance..

Thats including at the SCG a terrific ground where 60% of the ground is undercover..

Nrl grounds besides the big ones
There is no cover
That is why the massive reduction in crowd figure

its not just cover for fans, its what it does to the contest. The standard of play suffers enormously

i 100% agree.
Its shocking for both codes..

But helps for attendance wise when you have great stadiums for covered seating

What they got 19k in torrential rain when Sths v Eels couldn't get 12k with no rain!!!! Pretty good result given the conditions!
