Only 918k for an "international game" lol, that's pathetic. The AFL get more for Friday Night Football just about every week.

I think it might be because nRL is getting more boring each year, don't you think Raiderdave?
Stewi how many times have the AFL got 1.5m for friday game this year?

Stop talking out your arse mate....

Also add the NZ sky ratings of : Intl Rugby League: 259,790 (10:00pm – 11:45pm) =D> =D> Imagine this game played a a decent hour, would rate over 300k imo.

Doesn't real rugby get over 500k for club games in NZ? One would think an international game of poor man's rugby would at least get that...

lol @ your decent hour comment. Imagine if the AFL Grand Final was played at a "Decent hour" i.e. prime time? :D
Another Guess from a newbee to this site.

No the rugby get about 220k on average for there games.

And the Warriors in 2011 got over 700k for the GF so i do not see were you are going with your statements....... :-k

Wow there seems to be a fuck load of bandwagoners of Warriors fans who don't really seem to follow league at all, rather they just watch one GF and that's it. #-o

Ah here he goes again another amateur remark with no real substance....

The warriors regularly get 140k ratings for there NRL games Stewie... =D>

The rest of the NRL games get about 40k which is good if you compare it to what GWS and Suns are getting in QLD and NSW... =D> =D> .

Again remind me stewie how much ratings the AFL get in NZ.... :? :?

Ahh no, the suns get more than 40k in Brisbane. [-X

Wow, how bad is the NRL doing when the suns are getting better ratings from a city about half the population of NZ!

You are confused again Xman.

The warriors which is the Auckland based team gets about 140k ratings during the regular season on FOX, tell me what does the Suns get in QLD? Yep you guessed it way lower then the Warriors mate, and less then 100k that is for sure.

You are comparing non NZ RL teams which get about 35-40k on NZ sky to the Suns in QLD.......mmmm this is confusing for you i know...

You're the confused one.

The NZ ratings are for the entire country. Even non-suns games rate around 40 on FTA, plus more on fox. And this is from 2.5m, not 4 mil like NZ.

I am talking ratings from QLD......they suck and you know it....

Do i have to do a comparison of the suns ratings in QLD compared to the Warriors ratings..it will get embarrassing for you mate.

So are you saying the Suns are bigger then the Warriors is that what your insinuating.....?

Oh and you just said that RL and the warriors are throughout the entire country.... are you nuts..?

If it is i will have myself the biggest   which will probably end in tears...

That's the exact point Stewie was making you twat. The warriors rate ok in NZ but the NRL in general rates at similar levels in NZ to the AFL in Brisbane/GC, despite around half the population!

Here we go Suns ratings in QLD...

Round 1
GC vs ADE 7 Mate = 37,000
Round 2
STK vs GC 7 Mate = 31,000
Round 3
GC vs ESS 7 Mate = 65,000
Round 4
GC vs BRIS 7 Mate = 56,00
Round 21
GC vs HAW 7 Mate = 20,000
Round 22
Carl vs GC 7 Mate = 40,000

Just amazing stuff...

Should i compare them to the warriors ratings...

Just an example of how the Warriors rate in NZ

1. NRL Post Game: 178,340 (3:50pm – 3:55pm)
2. NRL: 177,850 (2:05pm – 3:50pm)
3. NRL: 59,220 (4:00pm – 5:45pm)
4. NRL Pre Game: 58,930 (1:25pm – 2:05pm)
5. NRL Under 20: 52,050 (11:45am – 1:25pm)

This is for the 18 march round 3, all rounds are rated in Post-Game, Game, Pre-Game and Under 20’s but I cbf including them for all the games. Gives you an idea why the NRL will get over 100million from the NZ deal.

• NRL: 163,420 (SKY Sport 2, 2:10pm – 4:00pm) March 4th Round 1
• NRL: 133,920 (9:05pm – 10:45pm) March 12th Round 2
• NRL: 177,850 (2:05pm – 3:50pm) March 18th
• NRL: 104,620 (4:05pm – 5:45pm) September 2nd round 26
• NRL: 111,450 (2:05pm – 3:55pm) August 19th round 24

Yes the evidence is clear the Suns and GWS ratings in QLD/NSW are larger then RL ratings in NZ.....        =D> =D> =D> =D>

The regional ratings have now been released for the AFL and NRL Grand Finals by AGB Nielsen. These include TAS and WA figures.

AFL Grand Final - Capital Cities (3,010,000) + Regional Markets (1,118,000)

Total - 4,128,000

http://www.regionaltam.com.au/?page_id=19#

NRL Grand Final - Capital Cities (2,445,000) + Regional Markets (1,411,000)

Total - 3,856,000

http://www.regionaltam.com.au/?page_id=19#

Imagine what the AFL Grand Final could attract in viewer numbers if played in prime time, rather than a Saturday afternoon.

Man you're stupid!

The point was NZ have no interest in RL if the warriors aren't playing. In fact Brisbane have more interest in AFL given they have half the population.

Who's butthurt? The AFL Grand Final was the highest rating sports program of the year, beating the 3 SoO matches and the nRL grand final which were all shown in prime time. Just imagine the AFL's ratings if it was shown then :)
