How often did the AFL get 150k this year, even with there fudged figures? Not to mention it was out of season!
just wow =D> =D> =D>
RL is indeed King

Only 918k for an "international game" lol, that's pathetic. The AFL get more for Friday Night Football just about every week.
I think it might be because nRL is getting more boring each year, don't you think Raiderdave?

Even with there fudged figures how many times has the AFL got 150K this year? And a month out of season WOW!
1.5 Million ? ... without fudged figures ? .... .... other then their GF ?... in a good year for them..maybe twice if they're lucky .. 3 times if you include their GF
we 'd be looking at ten times a year ... every year
RL... KING

Stop talking out your arse mate....
Also add the NZ sky ratings of : Intl Rugby League: 259,790
(10:00pm – 11:45pm) =D> =D> Imagine this game played a a decent hour, would rate over 300k imo.

Face Facts Xman, We were miles ahead of your dieing game (even with your fudged figures) on both FTA and Pay TV. We needed to allow you to add your FTA Numbers to your Pay Tv Numbers just to be competitive.
culmative figures are pretty meaningless. We could have told you that at the start of the year, if we wernt getting so much satisfaction from the fact that Roys article cut you to the quick

So you "let us" add FTA and payTV simulcast broadcasts? How generous!

You yourself said they split the audience only a few posts back.
If it werent for the NRl adding two live games together on FN you'd never compete at all, and even then you lose!
Face it, the AFL are a lot closer in regional ratings than you think when all markets are counted. Something you guys complained about after the GF. How dare we add Tasmania and WA!

They're listed, so try adding them up and counting them yourself - this is what you get, on average slightly less than 1/3 of your Metro Total. This is what we will get , 2/3 of our Metro figures.
Check out the population averages
Check out the Tv Ratings ratings in the regional areas. Or more simply count up the numbers yourself.
40% of our teams are in regional areas. Regional fans are even more parochial than metro fans.
In the region I live, if we come across an AFL supporter we lynch him and burn his house.

In the capital city I live in, if we come across an nRL supporter we.... ohhhh wait, we don't come across nRL supporters here. Ever.

Doesn't real rugby get over 500k for club games in NZ? One would think an international game of poor man's rugby would at least get that...
lol @ your decent hour comment. Imagine if the AFL Grand Final was played at a "Decent hour" i.e. prime time? :D

The next 5 years of NSWRL GFs are going to be shown in NZ at this hour. In 2012 the AFL GF ratings in Brisbane were bigger than the NSWRL GF ratings in the
entire country of NZ. Imagine how bad it's going to be in 2013 when the game's shown at 10:00pm

I think they key point that's been made but glossed over is that the Test had zero competition on Saturday night. There was nothing else on FTA of substance, it had the night to itself, and it still couldn't crack 1million in the metro market. You throwballers keep suggesting that having a regional supporter base that's 2/3rds as big as your metro market is a good thing. In your eyes it demonstrates that your regional support is massive. To us it demonstrates how tiny your metro support is.
