Way to go Giants.
GIANTS Hit 20k Members in Record Time
Ryan Miller April 6, 2018 5:14 PM
The GIANTS have reached 20,000, 2018 members on Friday, just hours out from the blockbuster Sydney Derby XIV.
It’s the second time the club has reached the 20,000-member mark with the 2018 membership figure nine per cent ahead of the same time last year.
The figure also sees the GIANTS closing in on the record membership number of 20,944 set in 2017.
GIANTS Chief Executive David Matthews said the club is proud to have reached a significant milestone in record time.
“To have surpassed 20,000 members so early in 2018 is fantastic for the club, especially ahead of our Sydney Derby clash with the Swans on Saturday,” he said.
“It’s great to see support for the club growing across New South Wales and Canberra with 4,812 new members signing up so far this year.
“Our members are some of the most loyal and passionate fans in the competition, and our year-on-year membership growth is largely due to their ongoing support.”
With eight home games at Spotless Stadium and two home games at UNSW Canberra Oval still to come, there has never been a better time to sign up or renew as a GIANTS 2018 member.

Plenty of purrs and barkers amongst those.

As I comprehensively showed in my thread about GWS - their 2017 membership numbers are a total crock of shite!!!! They don't even add up on the graph given on their own website where there is a 10k black hole.
The truth is they have just over 4k members in each of Sydney & the ACT & another 2k in the rest of Aust. And even these numbers are questionable. Last year their own site showed they had about 10k members only. This year would be similar.
In addition their 2017 annual report showed that their income for memberships was the lowest in the AFL. In fact they showed many millions of dollars less in membership revenue than the Gold Coast in spite of the fact the Suns had over 10k less members.
In short GWS tell bald faced lies about their member numbers and cannot be trusted.

The Tiger army is now bigger than ever.
Eclipsing 90000 club members today.
Yes, one club, 90000 members.
This is more than the NRlilL's top three clubs combined.
Or the bottom seven combined. As it stands.
What a fantastic achievement.
The AFL are looking to break the 1000000 club members this year.
Are you going to be part of history with me?

The only credible evidence is the spreadsheet.
I hear "black hole" based on what? Revenue, show me the breakdown of the type of memberships they sold.
We are talking about the NSW market.
Not know to forking out much for their clubs.

Yeah he did. Totally without evidence or sources........just the usual cranky rant to deflect from the GWS lies. And as I have pointed out many times GWS are self convicted. Their own numbers prove them to be so.

Wow, now hoping for 70,000 members in 2018. Bloody huge numbers. Well and truly the biggest sporting club in NSW.

The Tiger army sets a world record for club membership in the AFL.
100,000 members!
No doubt the envy of every other sporting club in the land.
Well done!

Yep.
There's never been an AFL club in the world with more members ever.
That's a world record crap.
It must be tough to comprehend for you northerners.
