You claimed Melbourne AFL teams are not consistently shown into Melbourne on FTA. They are! 10 of 11 on Friday Night 11 of 11 on Saturday night. That seems fairly consistent and not that difficult to understand
yes but Melbourne only get 3 live FTA games, and Saturday arvo on delay, and there are 10 teams. Not every Melbourne club is shown consistently into Melbourne every round
Cut out your Psychobabble bullshit.
All Melbourne matches are shown live.
Answer the question .
Would the Lions get 200k rather than 60k if they did not have overlap to contend with?
or would they get 75k??????????????????????
if they were shown in isolation theyd get 150-200k depending on prime time

well I didnt realise the changes to FTA TV for AFL in Melbourne this year (given I watch on foxtel) but there are many rounds where we only have 3 live games, such as:
1. 4
2. 5
3. 3 on 7 mate
4. 3 (2 on 7 mate)
5. 5 (1 on 7 mate)
6. 3
7. 3
8. 3
9. 3
10. 3
11. 3
so only 38 FTA games in the first 11 rounds

Adelaide also have a few rounds with only 3 FTA games, and some of their games are on delay by a few hours

Same for Perth, some weeks are only 3 FTA games, one even has only two, and a number of games are on delay. Looks like the so called advantage the AFL have in FTA games is no where near as big as I thought

Even In your imaginary little world scenario where the Suns ratings did improve by more than 300% when shown in isolation they would still be almost 50k below the NRL Average.
Melbourne has 5 FTA air games this week. But we both know who will get gold

they have 5 this week because of ANZAC day. Followed by this they have 6 weeks in a row of only 3 games, the same as the NRL
As for the Suns, #TVratings Saturday STV #AFL #FoxFooty#AFLBluesSuns

This was a game that started prior to 2pm Saturday afternoon, the lowest rating time. If they were shown in isolation in prime time theyd get around 200k

And Adelaide and Perth have 3 or more FTA games on significant delay.
If the second half of the AFL season is similar Melbourne will only get 76 live FTA games compared to the NRLs 72, plus rep games.

Carlton are hardly a popular team on tv for neutrals given their form. Yes its lower than average but so it should be given the game started early saturday afternoon.
This game blows your theory apart

Totally no overlap , and just 160k
quote 60k, Would have been 200k if it wernt for overlap
Carlton have the 4th most thur/Fri night matches, they played in your season opener , they must have something going for them.
The only thing you've proved is that your theory is a load of shit and you've totally lost touch with reality

THE AFL SHOW games concurrently to hide the low ratings games>>
so it does not look as bad when figures come in..
for example Saturday night or afternoon games>>
it is why the AFL schedule the way they do
this is complete BS! In a typical round every game bar 1 is shown concurrently, so are you claiming 8 of our matches are low rating games hidden by scheduling?
no, I was addressing pussycats Saturday figures for the AFL..

Your afternoon games on fox regularly rate well below 200k, and they dont start prior to 2pm. So the suns game proves my point perfectly. Ratings for Games shown concurrently are greatly reduced. If the same games are shown in isolation the ratings are far higher
