Well good on them i suppose, but according to AFL supporters GC is AFL heartland. So if its AFL heartland, pretty dodgy crowd
Not yet, but the work at grassroots level being done by organisations like Southport, and the community engagement of the Suns, will in time see the balance shift towards AF. it will take years, but we're a patient bunch.
As to your remark about the 13k crowd, answer me this very simple question:
If you believe (as I do) the GC is currently RL heartland, how would you describe the fact that the Suns have a higher average attendance than the Titans?
"Dodgy" perchance?
You may well be right, but I need proof to trust you. Even you would agree with me that a lot of stuff said on here is bollocks. So you should understand why I ask for proof

1 match each to come, currently:
Titans: 13,869
Suns: 13,990
So I ask again. If you believe (as I do) the GC is currently RL heartland, how would you describe the fact that the Suns have a higher average attendance than the Titans?

Lets wait till the end of the season, then we will see. The titans have had one more home game, so lets just wait and see then.

The point is Gold Coast is supposedly nRL heartland, so shouldn't they be smashing the Suns regardless?

Just so you know also, one of the three commercial radio stations plays all suns home games and is calling the port game today. The Abc do the nrl but also the suns and lions games. So you get a fair bit of AFL on the radio up here on nrl heartland.

no one listens to, just the same as no one watches the crap on TV either
Victorian rules is irrelevant in the Nthn states

Whatever - I think we are back to the same argument you trot out once a week - pity you don't have an argument but disagree regardless - almost predictable really! So RD have a great day I know I will!

Everyone gathered around the radio today after baseball listening to the suns game. Would seem a commercial radio station that needs to make money has made a good decision ... Otherwise if it weren't profitable you'd think they'd ditch it?

A win to the Warriors today will see 3 sides on 24pts , the Titans Warriors & Raiders ..... the Titans holding down 8th on for & against... just with 3 rounds to go
& next Sat night at Robina
Its the Titans V the Warriors in the last game there this year
the Winner in my opinion ... makes the 8 almost certainly
a big game that should attract a big crowd too
the Thuns who are on fire .... 2 wins from their last 11 games

:_<> :_<>
play the Midgets who couldn't beat an egg...... in the final game at Metricon
& the Crowd battle is over on the Coast for 2013
with the Titans making it 2 in a row
the Fumblers predicted a win

>
they aren't very good at predictions are they ?

Yes I was thinking the same swans. You would have to think that when the nrl see just piping the suns in nrl heartland as a favorable result that it is a good indicator of how well the suns are doing. But there you go.

Lol! The Titans need a finals deciding game to beat the Suns! What happened to rugby league on the Gold Coast? It's fucked when the Suns make the finals.

I think both can do okay. There is plenty of support for the titans. The problem is that to go to a game you're in and out too quick. I honestly think they should go to quarters of 20 minutes like AFL.

And to be honest, it's not a titans or Gold Coast problem, look how rl struggles to pull a crowd in Sydney. It can't be a cultural thing as swans draw a good crowd week in and week out, so it must be something about the game day experience. I do think the price is also far too expensive, especially given the length of the experience. I know my rl mates who have been to metricon find the atmosphere amazing so maybe there's something there?

The titans vs rabbitioths game actually beat the suns vs blues game. Neither was a finals game, so you're actually wrong there dude.
